    Soon available to paint 4U

Ah, the wonderful life of an artist Artists always seem to get the wrong end of the broomhandle when it comes to big corporate business. I've been ousted myself from every art job I ever had (I've had several, one of which actually paid.. The others fled to Mexico). I'm VERY sorry to see this...

    [OT] Favorite Band?

I have to give a multiple answer as well. Up until the 'split', Sepultura was my absolute favorite. Roots was THE maturing point for them. Sadly, Max and his wife threw a tantrum that has yet to be beat by even creatures from the animal kingdom, and split away from the band so... Fear...

    New WotC mini's game

Personally I didn't see much wrong with their *old* game. What I'd like to see in a new mini game from them? Well, for starters a re-release of all models that were done for Chainmail, considering the game stores in Edmonton are quite possibly the most incompitent behemoths in the world, and...

    [OT] www.dmb-bustedstuff.com

Sepultura has an amazing drummer (Igor Cavallera), and some of the most stirring, primal, dance-across-the-fire beats have come from him, in my opinion. Sadly, Sepultura has pretty much fallen apart due to some bizarre quabble they had with their former lead singer.. Now they seem to be in some...

[Mucho OT] A man who deserves to be tortured painfully.

Personally, I hope the prat's skull get's violently twisted away from the surrounding flesh by the heaviest industrial means possible, with the aftermath landing all over the twisted idiots that decided burning an animal alive was akin to 'caberet'

    In Place of Chainmail?

Just as long as they don't *only* go towards cheap plastic figures. I'm one of those odd ones that LOVE dynamic, well painted figures. I enjoy the art of painting them, and doing conversions. If Wizards does utterly lose their collective minds and do nothing but those hideous looking Mage...

    Ready to toss it in.

I think I'll start rummaging about for a new group and try to start up as a player again, though after a bit of a break I think. The last time I actually *played* in a game of D&D was when 2nd edition was at the pinnacle of it's popularity ;) NWN is tempting. I tend to stay away from online...

    Good character sheets?

I believe the artist lives in the same area that I do.. Oddly small world! :P (Think I even met him at a convention as well.. His style is pretty recognizable). I did take a look at the Mad Irishman's, and it's exactly what I wanted!

    Ready to toss it in.

Good to know I'm not the only one then! ATO_DM: I'd revel in being a player again, though one player is barely free enough to play, let alone create a campaign, and the other is very new to all of this, is still getting the hang of gaming in general, and doesn't even have all of the books to...

    Ready to toss it in.

Another disenchantment thread ;) Well, I'm not disenchanted with D&D, or with the D20 system itself, but I've been finding lately that I just cannot find a solid group to game with around these parts. While I am very used to having one player at a time, since It's how I grew up playing the...

    Good character sheets?

Anyone know of good sheets that don't have Feat check lists? I don't mind skill lists, since the skills are pretty much set, but I use a lot of custom feats, as well, I like to add the page number after each one so I can look them up quickly.. I'd *much* prefer being able to write them down...

    What is the attraction?

You know.. I really don't know why I desire to be other types of critters. I guess it's just a form of escapism, and alien fascination in my case. I like something different. Enigmatic elven types, monsterous creatures shunned by all but the small group who allow it to wander with them. The...

Now that 3rd edition has been around for almost 2 years....

I'm on the opposite side when it comes to D20 SW, but then again, I was always the black puppy in the batch ;) In short, while I liked the D6 system, it got retarded after the 6th or 7th session, because of the impossibly slow combat (Okay, I roll my 12 d6's, minusing 2 dice for a dodge and...

    Losing the Faith

I've had the same problems in the past. It's hard enough finding players around here (Edmonton) that are interested in anything beyond wargames, or games where they can simply skewer everything and steal their cookies. It's why I play with such a small group now ;) It really depends on what...

    Paint dry...need water?

Yellow paints So far, the best yellows I've ever used are Vallejo. They are nearly impossible to get here in Canukada, but they are well worth it. I can actually paint yellow over black and have near complete coverage with the first coat.

    Paint dry...need water?

If/when you do buy new ones, store the pots upside down. I found that they don't dry at all that way. Citadel paints are notorious for their horrible bottles that allow paints to dry even when not in use, due to gaps, I hear, near the lid. Turning the paints upside down plugs those gaps...

REALLY What Was So Bad About 2nd Edition?

I have to admit I had a *lot* of fun with both 1e and 2e. I don't know if it's just the nostalgia of being able to game more than once ever 5 months or so, or just that I and my players really didn't care much about real world balance being in games. But now that 3e is out, I have a comparison...

    Help with Mini's

I personally would reccomend: Brushes: Stay the heck away from Citadel. They have some VILE brushes that seem to come from the factory split, and easily frey even when proper care is taken. Go to an art store, and buy some of their nylon brushes (or natural sable if you want).. They may be...

    In shades they revel

Pretty much! I'm sure I'll get jokes amongst the group that they keep their teeth due to needing dental records or something. ;)

    In shades they revel

An image I did of some rather upset undead-types that I'm working into my campaigns. Known simply as "Autopsies" or "Morgue sweepers", they tend to be the souls of victims of botched autopsies that were done when they were still alive. They wear the sheet (though blackened now) that they were...
