D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

okay then Another inspiration. Arcadia: A Land of Perfect Order Arcadia, where "order over good" reigns supreme, is a plane that embodies the struggle of maintaining the greater good under the shadow of rigid, inflexible law. While its systems and rules are created with benevolence, the...

D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

you are not wrong. angels have a bad habit of being everywhere and somewhat generic. maybe make them more like the Nephilim - mechanical /giant hybrids -that have aspects of both?

D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

oddly enough this is exactly what I want alignments according to adventuring options that are gameable. definitely leaning towards moving the more "biblically accurate angels" over to arcadia as they would be half way between angels and modrons.

D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

yeah but us mere mortals need a shorthand exceptions are great, but we need something that allows us to hang an adventure on it quickly. just the blood war alone gives something really awesome for the lower planes, but there really is no way to do that on the upper planes equivalent

    D&D General Greyhawk and Polearms

okay some musings Regions Known for Specific Polearms Each region of Greyhawk could develop distinct polearm preferences based on cultural, military, and geographical factors: Furyondy Known for its chivalric knights and disciplined armies, Furyondy emphasizes defensive strategies against the...

    D&D General Greyhawk and Polearms

Going with Gary's writing,, the Greyhawk setting has an immense diversity of Polearms. Why is what and which Polearms are prominent where and why? Are there any prominent Polearms that are artifacts!?

2025 Monster Manual to Introduce Male Versions of Hags, Medusas, and Dryads

yawn Did this with medusa decades ago. Medusas in the Hodgepocalypse are nerdy types that encompass gender options and come in full-color patterns of snakes. One of my reoccurring villains is "The Copperhead Kid," an old west gunslinger Medusa (with an obvious Copperhead snake pattern), that...

D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

Ty kindly My idea is that Bytopia is the immature cousin of Mount Celestia, and it mainly goes with the idea that the main hosts would reflect the duality of the planes. Basically, it's a more divine and good two-face, which is why I went for playing cards. However, willing to change with...

D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

I'm not quite happy with this one., but I'm posting to see if it can be cultivated. Elysium: The Realm of Boundless Tranquility Theme: Contentment and freedom through altruism. Unique Element: The River Oceanus, a sentient force, ties the plane together as a physical and spiritual thread...

D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

Bytopia Reimagined: The Plane of Games and Play Bytopia, the plane of duality and harmony, becomes an imaginative, whimsical, and slightly dangerous realm inspired by the themes of Babes in Toyland, Alice in Wonderland, and the Island of Misfit Toys. It remains a plane of goodness, but adding...

D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

Okay, let's do this one plane at a time. Adding one additional stipulation for myself. 5. while the various deities have their subplanes, an outer plane should stand on its own regarding personality. Mount Celestia: Mountain of Trials Theme: Ascension and enlightenment through trial and...

D&D General Let's make the upper planes playable!

The upper planes are currently useless for gaming potential beyond "paradise invaded." Mount Celestia and Aboria, might be helpful if you squint, but has anybody ever used Bytopia? So my challenge is as follows. Let's make the upper planes somewhere enjoyable to run an adventure with a...

D&D General Should the Platypus be a creature created by wizards, and the Capybara be Small Giant Space Hamsters?

Yes, most of these are creations of the great wizard Ze Frank and he has done so much, much more.

    D&D 5E (2014) Baldur's Gate 3 needs more short companions!

It also feels kinda insulting to people like the great actors like Warwick Davis and Peter Dinklage whom when I checked have families.
