House Medani Detection Office:The Lady in Blue (Updated 12-03-05)

Yay! More story! Thanks, Express! :) This is quickly becoming my most favorite story hour, and that's saying something since I've read quite a few. I'm absolutely loving all the characters, with Bynara giving me the most smiles so far. I anxiously await for more!

STAR WARS - The Clone Wars - Child of Prophecy FOLDED

Whoa. So are you guys done with Star Wars? Are you going to be moving on to another game? Will we get a SH of that? Also, there was something I was real curious about. Who were the players behind the characters for that game? I know Wee Jas was Jaren, but were there any other players from...

House Medani Detection Office:The Lady in Blue (Updated 12-03-05)

Well, you have another reader, and I have to say that I'm enjoying this story hour immensely. Others are right when they compliment the writing style; it never bogs down or gets boring. Please keep the story coming. I did notice one thing that bothered me when I first spotted it, and was in...

STAR WARS - The Clone Wars - Child of Prophecy FOLDED

Well I'm about two months late, but I've found the story and I'm all caught up! It's ironic, because I've just recently been checking out the SWRPG and have been considering running a game of my own. In any case, more story, Doc!

Todd Lockwood has chosen the WINNER! And finished the drawing!!

I just found this thread, which was good because I was pretty jazzed over the whole contest. Does anyone have the top 10 chosen ones thread? I'd like to look over the old characters again.

    Shadowrun: sell it to me!

With Shadowrun being my most favorite system, I just had to chime in and suggest you try it out. The magic system is great (which unfortunately makes everyone want to be a mage), yet it's also balanced in the other areas as well. I love how rich the world is as far as details go. I...

The Adventures of the Knights of Spellforge Keep are now COMPLETED

Aye. And I'm also wondering what happened with Gryph.

    [Poly] What's happening to Polyhedron/Dungeon?

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. I've lurked in all the Dungeon threads, but I figured with me being a subscriber I should add my two cents. Erik, thank you for trying your hardest to resolve this issue. For me, I've always been fine with Dungeon irregardless of any changes. I...

Todd Lockwood chooses his 10 Favorite Characters...and requests a Poll!

Man, I really wanted Arianna to win. :( I just hope that none of these character's owners are trying to get filler votes from friends and family or something.

Todd Lockwood chooses his 10 Favorite Characters...and requests a Poll!

Hey Kai Lord, I think this a great idea and it's pretty nice of you to be sponsoring this. I wish I had a character that I could've submitted, but I'm always the DM. :( Ah well, there are some good characters, and I personally voted for Arianna. I'm anxious to see how it turns out.

[Mildly OT] Shadowrun action figure game

Being a huge SR fan, I bought the entire first series ASAP. I gotta say, while I enjoy the detail of the figures, the game itself kind of falls flat. All it comes down to is moving forward in a straight line and rolling dice. Not too much strategy, unfortunately. HeroClix is better. There's...

Sagiro's Story Hour Returns (new thread started on 5/18/08)

I had stopped reading this story hour awhile ago (maybe a year) and decided it was time to play catch-up. Spent the past few days reading all the posts and here I am! It's good to be reading the adventures again. I remember I had some questions coming through it all, but I've forgotten...

Help! Most boring 3.5 campaign yet!

That sounds pretty funny, actually. Kinda like having "The Sims" as a campaign. I'm with the others who say go for the first choice, if only because I'm interested if he genuinely would be satisfied with doing that for hours on end.

The Adventures of the Knights of Spellforge Keep are now COMPLETED

Hehe, you can't resist, Doc. Woooo! I'm jazzed. I wouldn't mind hearing both adventures, but I defintely want to hear of the trials and tribulations faced by the group of players everyone has come to know and love. As soon as you start running it, you'll have to get posting.

    The Shame of Role-Playing

Wow, thanks for that post, Stephen. Yes, that was very helpful, and I appreciate you writing all that up. I also checked out andargor's link as he suggested and that was pretty cool too. As I mentioned, I am going to try face-to-face, but to hear all this does make me feel more...

    WebRPG Online FREE again!

Well with me and all my online gaming, this is really good news. I used to play on WebRPG and thought it was the best, but we had to switch to Open when it went pay. I think I'll try to get the people I know to switch back. It's a really great service, better then OpenRPG I think.

    The Shame of Role-Playing

Re: A couple of questions... Not really. Not at all, actually. My parents couldn't care less about D&D, and I just realized that all my friends do like gaming. Still, you know, I'd prefer not to run down the road whilst shouting out that I play D&D. [B] That's also what Buttercup asked...

    The Shame of Role-Playing

To a degree. But in my mind, role-playing takes it to a whole other level. Then again, in my mind the ideal role-playing group would have Robert DeNiro and Meryl Streep and others, because I assumed it was more acting then anything else. It's like what Baraendur mentioned. I assumed that...

    The Shame of Role-Playing

Thanks for the replies thus far, everyone. Yeah, all my friends know I'm pretty uptight about my image and how I look to society. Still, role-playing seems like something everyone should be able to do. While I am an insecure person, I know that the rest of the people I play with...
