    I'd like software that would allow a camera to optically reads the dice, and then adds the bonuses. You still roll the dice, but you can't cheat it's faster as long as you have all your powers reprogrammed. Mostly kidding.

    True enough. I had a DM once that wouldn't be cooperative when I rolled up my 3e Ranger. I asked simply, since the campaign was as yet undescribed, what would be an appropriate favoured enemy. Wouldn't say. Can't remember what I picked... don't recall ever getting the bonus either.

    If you go by what they have in the glossary on D&DI, which is from the MM2, the vulnerable damage is not halved.... it's added outside the brackets, as it were.

    Only in that it should be a lot harder to hit someone with a thrown sword. ;) Personally... if they PCs start throwing swords around, I'd have the NPCs pick 'em up and attack them with 'em. -1 to hit and +1 to damage per pound sound fair? :hmm:

    I was thinking that it wouldn't be much different... there rolling a 1 or me rolling a 20... and would in fact, make it easier to remember to use their interrupts... It would likely take longer, true. I guess it depends on how you do these. I thought this would make it easier to describe...

    I wouldn't do it to save time, so much as keep players involved, and maybe encourage more creative energy at the table. I can still fudge the damage if need be. I wouldn't let them roll that... that's just adding insult to injury.
