    swap places

Also in the Player's Handbook on page 286.
  2. Mort_Q

    swap places

According to the D&DI Compendium, it's forced movement. So, a dwarf could resist, and it doesn't provoke.

    Necromancers...Who else wants them?

I'm skeptical that this can be done in a balanced way in terms of the economy of actions in 4e. Perhaps they are more like movable obstacles rather than having much for attacks.

If I recall correctly, this thread may help. Swordmage AC Thread

Timing of a Fighters Mark as it applies to Feats

My read is that the Fighter's target is not marked until the player resolves the attack and thus can't just attack, mark, and apply MS and GC all in one action.

    Negative Bonus?

In the PH, on page 58, it mentions that negative modifiers used to apply penalties don't count (under Applying a Penalty), but I haven't found anything equivalent for Applying a Bonus. I'd be inclined to say minimum 0... but I haven't finished looking.

Can free actions be used as interrupts?

Considering how often the timing of free actions comes up here, I suspect that you're not the only one that keeps hearing/readingcontradictory interpretations of the rules.

question about dunken monkey monk power

The Hit line includes: The target then makes a melee basic attack as a free action against one enemy of your choice. The target gains a bonus to the attack roll equal to your Wisdom modifier. RAW, a MBA must target a creature, which technically includes the target, so they could attack...

    Brew potions without brew potions

What's wrong with the level 1 (also errata) Brew Potion ritual?

    Question about teleportation

By the current standard (PH3), 'if arriving in the destination space would cause the target to fall or if that space is hindering terrain, the target can make a saving throw. On a save, the teleportation is negated.' As sev and Obryn have already stated... Legitimate targets are required to...

    Epic Destiny for Barbarian

Reborn Champion (Dragon 365), Dispossesed Champion (Eberron PH), Eternal Seeker (PH), Harbinger of Doom (PH2), Fury of the Wild (Primal Power)... can all be refluffed easily... What race is the character I wonder, 'cause Reincarnate Champion (Primal Power) be fun.

    Action Point Question

It's a free action that can't be taken on anyone's turn but your own, and not during a surprise round, and only once during an encounter. The DM can limit free actions though, but the falling excuse isn't supported by the RAW.

    Generating Opportunity Attacks (BM Ranger)

It's in there already, and you can take multiclass feats as a hybrid.

    How many feats are there?

There are 2191 feats in the Compendium that use the word prerequisite. 2280 that use the word benefit Is the wildcard search term I could use? If I search on 364, I find the powers that were in that article, not the feats... must read the files differently.

Monks & Weapons & Powers, oh my

A quick look shows that there are only 4 Monk attack powers that are melee weapon. Most are melee 1, melee touch, or close burst.
  17. Mort_Q

Monks & Weapons & Powers, oh my

A MBA is an attack, so if you hit, yes. However, it must be a MBA you took on your turn, a standard action, or one granted by another players interrupt or reaction, not an OA or the like, as they don't occur on your turn. Crashing Tempest gives an untyped bonus, so it stacks with everything...

    BM Ranger Multiclass/Hybrid questions

If it's not in a book or the compendium, it's house-ruled. Your DM, when you find one, can allow you to design your own double weapon. Don't forget to look at feat cost. A feat for +1 AC (granted, it stacks with everything) may not be the best choice.
  20. Mort_Q

    BM Ranger Multiclass/Hybrid questions

As a house-ruled weapon, sure. I'm unclear what the advantage of the double-weapon is in this scenario. Why not just a Light Blade in one hand and a Heavy Blade in the other, and save the feat?
