My votes likely were meaningless because I've used them all. That said, if we hadn't used them all (and in fact, pretty much every MM monster) at some point in playtesting of 3E, you'd have every right to be upset with me, I think.

I see this stated a lot on forums and it's close, but not 100% accurate. Ptolus is indeed not a "special edition" of some other book. It is the book. There won't be a "trimmed down" or a "even more deluxe" version later. Frankly, I wouldn't know how to realistically do either option anyway...

Don't remember where I wrote about it, but the concept is simple, and goes to the very heart of the game and player psychology. Levels serve not only a measure of power (which is very handy) but much more importantly they're a carrot on a stick to keep players playing. You can always look ahead...

Hungerswords appeared in the Complete Book of Eldritch Might (originally in Book of Eldritch Might II, I think). Sheva is a character in the setting book (many of the characters in the comic are).
