I agree under raw that a 5' step is not a move action and is not impacted. NOte that under RAW a 40 Tumble check allows a 10' step. Mayhap a homerule that flying down gives a +5 circumstance bonus to this check?

The Ranger in our party, referenced in my post above, has an animal companion python named Shaft and dual wields a sword and a Rod of Wonder. You can imagine the innuendos that ensue. Strangely, that's not usually what gets him in trouble.

1 minute / day -> which should last an entire battle. Lobby the DM to allow you to use the 1 minute on a discontiguous basis, and it could be 2-3 battles...

I like the questing idea. Here's another: a friend knight has turned rogue (or at least seems to have) and is off doing crazy shenanigans. The PCs have been informed, but the king has not. What do they do?

I take this idea in a different direction. While you are taking 20's on your search rolls, the bad guys are planning an ambush. The longer you take, the better prepared they are. Cover/concealment/terrain/crossfire can easily decide a battle.

We have the same social contract, EVEN if they do it repeatedly. The exceptions would be: - they keep doing the exact same thing (charging into the same dragon's den ahead of the party more than once, after being told not to) - they are doing it for personal gain at the expense of the party...

I see there is an ENWorld app for the iPhone and for the Android. Would the iPhone app work on an iPad? Is there any way to check ENWorld from an iPad?

I second this. Also: - disease immunity should include all diseases and poisons (just lump them together and forget "non-magical") - they have ki, give them UMD or at least UPD as a class skill - eliminate all "fluff" requirements (like being a certain race or worshipping a certain gawd)...

Railroading = bad form. speak to the DM. NPCs being able to do stuff you can't, that can't be explained by the rules = your problem, the DM can give them whatever powers he/she wants to
