My favorites: A1-4 U1-3 Tomb of Abysthor Ravenloft / House on Gryphon Hill Village of Hommlett Crucible of Freya I know that others have criticized the adventure path adventures from 3E, but Sunless Citadel, Standing Stone, Heart of Nightfang Spire all worked well for me. DM

Anyone know a good dungeon crawl adventure?

That is a great idea and pretty much what I did, though I couldn't get the PC's to Nulb, there were too many other subplots. So, after the moathouse (their second time, having cleared it originally many levels earlier), they went on to greener pastures. DM

    This is a Poll [metathread]

doesn't really have an opinion, but votes anyway so he doesn't feel left out of an obviously important discussion contradicts random point in the thread that was linked to seem intelligent and informed

This is a Review (Return of the Metathread)

makes new post to deceased thread a month after the last previous post after being directed there by a hyperlink from another thread makes witty comment about thread necromancy, but adds nothing new to thread that it turns out should have stayed dead

What to run for a group of complete beginners?

I am going to recommend Caves of Shadow. It is 3.0, but it is free. It is short, straightforward and to the point. Over all, excellent as a first session. Check out this thread for more ideas. DM

    Being sick is a pain!

Normally I visit Enworld every day. Even during my busiest weeks, I visit most days, but this is the first time I have been here since last Saturday. I had a little indigestion that day and gamed on Sunday (since I had to work Monday night), but by Sunday afternoon, I was feeling awful. We...

    Absolute Horror

I was on a trip two years ago for work (taking some students to an honor band weekend in Savannah, GA) and was awakened by a skittering sound (yes, a skittering sound... if you have ever heard one, you understand). I turned on the light, but saw nothing, so I turned it off and then saw movement...

Anyone know a good dungeon crawl adventure?

I would suggest Goodman Games' DCC's or something by Necromancer Games, like Vault of Larin Karr, Grey Citadel, or Tomb of Abysthor. DM

Worst D&D adventure of all time?

Here is my list (not in order): Hour of the Knife: Railroaded plot with a twist to guarantee the ire of every player at the table. Needle: Silly talking spiders that say, "Gee Whiz!" over. and over. and over. Actually, this silliness and politically correct "young gamer/child friendly" phase...

Free PDF's for the Gencon Deprived

Since I became a high school band director in 1993, I am resigned to the fact that until I retire or unless I change careers, I will never be going to Gencon. You see, band directors don't have the cushy summers off that most teachers get, we get about one month. For me, I get a "summer break"...

What exactly makes the Greyhawk Campaign Setting

The version of Greyhawk that I am playing right now has as a prominent feature, the attempted manipulation and control of the Flanaess by several powerful demon lords, most prominently Orcus. Going back to the earliest Greyhawk products, demon lords were almost always making incursions into the...
