Why do you like to play?

I play because it keeps me out of prison.

What reasons do people in your groups give for not wanting to GM?

Actually, my group only has one player who adamantly refuses to GM. All my other players have GM'd their own campaigns or run tournaments. For my player who doesn't GM, he said that he had a really bad experience GM one adventure and that he swore he would never run again. I think he said that...

What a steaming pile of otyugh feces!

I am the center of the Plane of Concordant Opposition. I like this and would play it for a one-shot, but there's nothing there so far that makes me want to switch. Don't hate it and don't love it.

Have you seen the AWESOME reviews of our ZEITGEIST Adventure Path?

Not only the soundtrack, but I want to know when the live-action movie quadriology will be coming out!;)

    HACKMASTER Basic - for free!

I read the combat example (which I really enjoy detailed combat examples because it serves as a great way to see how the game flows). While I liked the interesting mechanics threshold of pain, defense for counter attack, etc, I found it to be a bit too much. I think the penetrating die rolls...

    InKarnate RPG Toolset Kickstarter Project

Dat shor is a purdy software ya gots. I would suggest that character sheets and monsters that are linked in the app can share conditions on each other. The GM picks Player A's character, rolls a monster's d20 to hit via the dice roller or just enters the result. Damage is calculated and the...

    Genesis Roleplaying System: Introduction

Yes, keep dice in the system, but I remember playing the SAGA deck from Marvel Super Heroes and that was a lot of fun.

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Liber Fanatica NINE released today

That's a really cool fanzine. I love WHRP 2e and have been reading WHRP 3e off-and-on.

    BESM (d20 or Tri-stat)

I played Tri-Stat. It's a fun game beer-and-pretzels game to me, something to run a one-shot every now and then, but nothing to do a campaign with. That's me though. I'm sure that others really like it for campaign play. For the d20 version, I can't tell you, I never bought the book.

How often do sex and romance come up in your games?

To the OP, I would say virtually never. My players are not really into developing relationships or even remotely interested in rp'ing carousing, so we don't get into it. Nobody goes into brothels, nobody rp's hitting on the barmaid, everyone is single, unmarried, and have no sexual orientation...

    Homosexuality in your games

I have no problem with gay players, gay characters, or any kind of that aspect of it in the game. People do what they want and play what they want and if it's fun for them and the group, go for it. I don't roleplay out romance or any kind of sexuality in my games because, frankly, I think it's...

Lately with my group, it's been lack of cohesion and different gaming styles.

    What is an elegant system?

Elegance is going to be what you think it is. I think Pathfinder is elegant and I know I'm going to get disagreement on it, but that's how it is.

You experience on combining rules from different editions

I combined the mutation rules from Tome of Corruption (WHRP 2e) with my Pathfinder game. It worked pretty good as I just had to make a few conversions on penalties and saving throws, but overall the tables worked just fine.

I just chewed out my players

I would have to agree with Morrus and Bedrock in that Water Bob's rules are a bit extreme for me. When I ran, I had a quorum so that most of my players could get in a game. Not everyone of my players can make a game for work or other reasons, so they had the option of leaving their character and...

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Board Game?

Actually, I think that would be interesting, particularly if FFG handles the production values. While I like FFG's weird dice and am currently reading WHRP 3e, I think Pathfinder Boardgame should be as close to the rpg as possible.
