    Inheritance! and Books!

in order of import ... Ptolus - best $ ever spent (plus vinyl map) Tome of Horrors I-III (I like ToH I so much that I bought the 3.5 PDF and had it printed and professionally bound ... also worth it ... and I'm by no means rich) GameMastery Combat Pad initiative tracker - makes life so much...

I'm stocked for life! (But what if no one cares?)

Last time I bought a used 1e book from my LGS (a nice PHB IIRC), the elitist gamestore clerk literally said "Have fun with your THACO." I think he was trying to be funny and maybe even endearing, but he came off like a complete douche. There is an occasional C+C or Hackmaster tourney at that...

[C&C, AD&D, oD&D] The best of the old stuff...

You could look for a copy on ebay or amazon marketplace, or you could try to find it on the internet. EDIT: I just noticed your email in your sig. I'll send you some specific ideas.

[C&C, AD&D, oD&D] The best of the old stuff...

Do you already have AD&D Encyclopedia Magica Vol 1? I have a pristine extra copy I'd be willing to part with for $11 (incl shipping). It is the second printing (has neither faux leather cover nor bookmark) and hence doesn't match my other copies, but is in remarkably good condition. If you want...

Real Life 3D Dungeon (ala the Comstock Lode)

alright, alright. thank god i'm not the only one. is that really true about delta burke? blech! that poor man should get a metal of honor for plundering that demonic obliette. re:combat, I believe normal rules would apply for a 10x10. I'd tack on ye olde -4 to some sensible stuff if fighting in...

Real Life 3D Dungeon (ala the Comstock Lode)

wow. that mine is really something. the matrix might get a little monotonous for running adventurers through. i mean, look at the size of that thing. i always thought the catacombs below paris made for a cool dungeon. i'd maybe have something similar extending out from the necropolis into the...

    Recommend a Dungeon Crawl Classic?

I have to admit, you were starting to lose me there for a moment Wraith Form. Now that I see you possess the canny facility to reference Jeremy Brett AND Bette Midler, my singular infatuation has been re-ignited. Well played, sir. You've earned my respect. Now allow me ask, have you slept? ;)...

    Recommend a Dungeon Crawl Classic?

Wraith Form, I'd like to compliment you on your admiration of corn chips. I just ate a whole bag myself, and I have got to say ... corn chips are brilliant. You can't go wrong with the Iron Crypt of the Heretics and The Blackguard's Revenge. EDIT: wrong usage compliment.

    Recommend a Dungeon Crawl Classic?

Wraith form, I just wanted to complement you on your avatar. I'm a huge Jeremy Brett fan. I just recently finished a Brett-Holmes marathon, watching every episode and movie. That guy was such a genius. You can't go wrong with the Adventure Begins. I've heard rumblings that they may publish...

How do you compare? What color is your most-used set of dice?

the metal d20 that came with my battlebox got me hooked on metal dice. once i got a complete set of brushed steel dice (plus the monsterous matching d20) into my hot little hands, other dice now seem like anemic silhouettes of real dice. these guys are the envy of all who see them. makes quite...

    middle age swords

I would recommend the uniformly excellent D20 product entitled "From Stone to Steel." Check out the reviews section. Great book, though sometimes difficult to find. I've seen it on amazon and ebay recently (for not too much). Snatch it up if you can find it.

Fiery Dragon Ptolus Counters Have no labels - Help!

Opinions on Dungeon Crawl Classics #39: DM Screen and Adventure

The adventure is 12 pages long, not including player handouts and map, respectively a page each. It is essentially a short, single-level dungeon crawl. I skimmed it, and it looks okay. Here's the adventure summary as written (spoilers hidden) ... "A group of bandits, the Broken Knives, has...

games stores in San Diego CA, Charleson SC, and Baltimore MD?

Gametowne's hours are erratic. It is difficult to find open at times. These days, Game Empire (http://www.gameempire.com/) is no longer in Fashion Valley; it has relocated to Clairemont. It is a comprehensive gaming store with impressive stock, and games/tourneys going on in the ajoining room...

    TOOBS - Cool Alternate Miniatures

I use the horses meself and would recommend them. I picked them up with a mind to use them in a conversion of B10 Night's Dark Terror. Everything else I've seen from Toobs in the stores just looks a little too cartoony or out of scale to merit a spot on my game table.

City of Brass - Boxed Set - Anyone Got Any Details?

Rob Kuntz, one of the original co-writers on the Necromancer CoB project parted ways for some reason (even after publishing Road to the City of Brass with Necro, an adventure freely available all over the internet) and took his work to Kenzer where the following was recently published ...
