Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2 Core Layout

I really don't like the new layout style either, not a deal breaker, but I agree as mentioned in the review here, the character sheet looks like a tax form. And the overly bold colours everywhere are a literal eyesore. But I'm liking what I've read so far tho

    Castles & Crusades

Yup 5th Edition onwards (2012) was coloured It was the first, as far as I know, OSR game - in that it took modern rules and applied old school style to it. OSRIC was the first retro-clone (trying to make 1E alve again) but C&C was the first to use 3E ideas and the OGL to tidy up 1/2E DnD. I...

Paizo Update: The Latest on Tyrant's Grasp, Dawn of Flame, and Age of Ashes Adventure Paths...Plus P

Also note that the Lost Omens World Guide is delayed, that's the first 2e book which is basically a new line which mixes the old 1e campaign setting and players guide lines. Less, bigger books, hardback too I think, with world info and related player crunch. So it won't be out on 2e street date...

[1e and OD&D] How did you handle Druids and Armor? Clerics and Edge Weapons?

Yeah we just accepted that was the physics of the game world. Especially wierd when multi class clerics can use edged weapons! Nowadays I would change things up, in that these are religious restrictions that would curtail powers. And wouldn't bother with the burning oil monk restriction.

I review the Acquisitions Incorporated book on twitter

Haha that you've never even seen! That's a bit presumptuous and hyperbolic, don't you think? Personally having now looked at AI it's really not my bag, and maybe the worst FR product for me, but judging it sight unseen I won't. And there had been some really, really bad novels in FR....

News Digest: Magic: The Gathering TV Series Announced, Baldur's Gate Video Game Tease, UK Games Expo

Baldur's Gate 3 will be based on 5E rules too: He promises “a whole bunch of new systems” but won’t name them, pointing us to the 5th edition D&D rulebook for inspiration. “We have carte blanche and can take whatever we want. They have cool systems they’ve developed over time. When you play it...

    AD&D 2E Returning to 2nd Edition

And Fighter's saves became really good at higher levels, LFQW was def something introduced in 3E. Maybe Linear Fighters Doubling Wizards is true in older editions, but man you started from a very low base and it wasn't until the teens that problems arised - or so I gather. I never got beyond 13...
