Can i willingly take more time to cast a spell?

Keep in mind that any attempt at letting players cash in a move action for an extra swift action would also apply to all the multitude of items in the MIC that use swift actions to activate. I am quite amused to hear someone say that swift action spells are 'hardly powerful'. Greater mirror...

    Fixing Toughness

Honestly I don't remember it ever coming up... Can't see a reason why you couldnt take it more than once. Unless there is some new ability or class I dont know about that would abuse it. I haven't seen many characters that would be willing to spend more than a couple feats total on improving...

    Weapon damage scaling

or...what kind of normal 2-handed weapon does 2d10...thats still way over the top...evencompared to elvin thinXXXs and mercurial greatswords.

Can i willingly take more time to cast a spell?

Not by RAW Otherwise spell casters could cast 3 spells a round, and martial classes could use 2 boosts before a maneuver at low levels.

    Fixing Toughness

The group I used to play with improved it a little. Toughness gives you +3 hitpoints, and increases your death threshhold by 3 hitpoints. So you die at -13 instead of -10. Also added the 3 hps to anything like Diehard that normally functions until -10. Actually makes it into a decent...

Valid use of Wall of Ice?

I think I have issues with forcing walls onto a grid square.... 'I cast wall of stone....I want it to appear 8 feet in front of me...' seems perfectly valid to me. But since its a radius it has to go on the grid? Kind of a crappy weakness to the grid system.

Are there any item which gives Cold Iron property to weapons?

The metalline property. +2 enhancment property. Lets you change the composition of the weapon as a standard action(I think)to any other material...I think it only applies for purposes of damage reduction....but I might be wrong about that part.

    Dread Necro Progression?

Then I recommend asking the DM to take the feat away so you can continue playing the character you wanted to play...If he won't cooperate, then keep playing your character anyways and have fun...knowing that you will have ample opportunity to buy a scroll of polymorph any object, to have...

Valid use of Wall of Ice?

Do wall spells have to be centered on a grid? If so, why does wall of fire have rules for casting the spell so it goes 'through' creatures? I'm going on the assumption they didnt go through the trouble of coming up with those rules just for the odd group of people lined up on a diagonal. If...

am i the jerk or is my friend?

I'm with Jhaelan! The DM has every right to confiscate character sheets anytime he wants to...If you can't explain how you get to a bonus, then you dont have it. I would definitely do rolls out in the open and hit him no matter what, just to get the point across. Does not sound like sibling...

    Dread Necro Progression?

Did your characters type actually change to dragon? Or did you simply gain the draconic subtype? If you are a Humanoid(draconic) then you should still qualify as human for class abilities, spells etc... I can't imagine a single feat doing all the things that dragon type get....Darkvision...

How severe would you rule the damage done?

As a GM, I wouldn't let the PC use his teeth to initiate a martial maneuver, unless he posessed a natural bite attack. Most PCs do not natural bite attacks. I wouldn't even let improved unarmed strike work, or a monk do it, unless there was some sort of RP reason to allow it...like specialized...

    Falling Damage and Stoneskin

If people want to say that the ground counts as a weapon, then can I cast Magic weapon on the ground and swing people at it? A natural 20 always hits :-p Falling is neither an attack, nor a weapon...It is a side effect of your feet unexpectedly leaving the ground while you're not able to fly...

Help pick a feat for my soon to be level 18 wizard

Don't forget to turn a handfull of pebbles into some old dragons or spell weavers or Alhounds or something to fight for you....Since you can cast PaO twice a day you can even turn pebbles into permanent creatures. I find it funny to say that you dont see the usefulness of quicken spell...then...

Inherent abilities in place of gear?

A system like this won't be balanced if your character simply doesen't 'want to have many items'....Only way it could work is if he CAN'T have items. Its the balancing point of the VoP feat....you get cool powers, and they cant be taken away, but you pay a high price. If you get all sorts of...

Sandstorm Druid with touchstone ability and wildshape

If your wild shape makes you into a Large rhino, this ability would give you most of the benefits of being a Huge rhino....but would NOT increase the damage of its natural attacks. If you could somehow wield a manufactured weapon in wild shaped form then you could use a bigger weapon for more...

    Mirror of Opposition

If a sorcerer casts mage armor on his fellow monk and then gets killed, his mage armor still lasts for the rest of its normal duration. no book with me atm, so I can't look it up. If the item does not specifically say what happens in this case, look at the prerequisite creation spell....If its...

    Cost for extra damage dice

well my instincts would be to Nix any attempts to skirt the already existing options for extra damage....the energy enhancments, then the burst enhancments. Then there is the psionic enhancment that add the flat +5 damage. If the epic lv handbook intended monks to tripple their damage output...

    Fighting a Red Dragon

If this is intended to be a solo fight then it had better be a lower CR than your level or most likely you will die a horrible death in short order. Unless you have immunity to having your buffs dispelled which is unlikely....a relatively aged dragon is going to strip those buffs right off you...
