    Let's Write a Bad Module

I made the appropriate correction, as the original was obviously a typo. It now reads "...under the bed bat in encounter 27."

Ronin Arts: Hazards of the Dragon's Lair

I just picked up all of these, and at least one hazard from each pdf is making its way into my next game session. Great stuff, Phil!

    Let's Write a Bad Module

Encounter 8 After stepping through the cave opening, you see a huge chasm that is filled with lava. The lava radiates evil. If you look at the lava, you must make a save vs. breath weapon or take 1d6 points of Wisdom damage. On the far side of the lava is a cryohydra, and behind the cryohydra...

Legends & Lairs for $5 - any recommended?

You might expect that, but you would be disappointed. I certainly was. I found T&T to be great - imaginative traps that made sense. T&TII was full of traps that I couldn't ever see being used in a dungeon.

Are Skills Mechanically Important in d20?

I think it may depend on the GM, honestly, and how often he or she calls for skill checks. I call for skill checks all the time: Listen, Spot, Search, Diplomacy, Sense Motive, and Tumble tend to be the ones I call for the most often, but they all get used eventually. I can see, though, how some...

I emailed it over last night. If, for some reason, you didn't get it, let me know.

    Review Project take two

Hi Crothian, I'd be happy to have Amalara's books added to the list. I believe that I've sent you the first two pdfs via email. I've got a third that I can forward if you're interested. Thanks! Dave

Amalara releases Dungeon Dive 3: The Hungry Demiplane

Amalara is pleased to announce the release of the third product in the Dungeon Dive series - The Hungry Demiplane. At 37 encounter areas, this is the largest release yet in the series. It presents a living demiplane that absorbs structures from the material plane and consumes the pain and...

    Burial Rites

That was my initial conception for my campaign. My players correctly pointed out that any elderly, sick, or infirm person would need to be kept in a cage, lest they die in the middle of the night and then eat the family.

    Burial Rites

Massive amounts of undead running around are one of the accepted horrors of war in my campaign. Armies will try to take care of their own dead with massive bonfires, but it gets a wee bit dicey at times. :]

    Burial Rites

I use the taint mechanic in my campaign, which is fueled by the negative energy of the Land of the Dead. When the spirit of an intelligent creature dies, it travels to the land of the dead, thus opening a conduit for negative energy to flow back through. The corpse immediatly becomes tainted...

    Compiled Hurricane Relief Fundraisers Thread

Here's a copy of the press release I posted over in the publisher's thread. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Amalara will donate all proceeds generated from the sale of all of its products during the month of September to the American Red Cross in order to...

Amalara to donate all sales for September

Thanks Zenodotus! I'm not a "high-volume" publisher, by any means, so any exposure I get means more money to donate.

    Hurricaine Relief News Item

I have a question for the news-hounds (or whomever approves items for the front page): a number of companies have decided to donate their proceeds for the month of September to the American Red Cross, and each has issued a press release in the publishers forum, and each has been highlighted on...

    OGL Gauntlet

You can find the last Iron DM thread here: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=133606. There is a fairly concise description of the overall concept, and you can also find the rules for the tournament about halfway down the first page. Iron DM is a very different creature than what's been...

Amalara to donate all sales for September

Amalara will donate all proceeds generated from the sale of all of its (admittedly limited number of) products during the month of September to the American Red Cross in order to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Dungeon Dive 1: Thieves' Guild Hideout and Dungeon Dive 2: Abandoned Temple...

    A milestone -- 1,000 comments at RPGNow

Congrats Phil! As a new publisher who recently entered the market, I have a question, though - how do you encourage comments? Is it even possible to influence people to leave comments? Is a lack of comments a sign of the quality (or lack thereof, which I secretly fear) of a particular product...

Wow! Now I feel all warm and squishy inside. If you all have any questions or comments about the products, you certainly know where to find me. :)
