Lies of Locke Lamora and it's sequels. Heists, music, not too much magic, eventual love interest. Old Man's War, seriously. Amber? Cool stuff and modern stuff. People love travel across realms. It's got all the elements. The Red Rising trilogy or whatever it's called.

I love the quotes! I've done that in my products.....but man, how about easier to read font for old, tired, eyes.
