Worth it to craft? Probably not. But as a DM I like to add them as loot because they can't be upgraded by the PC's as easily and it's a good hook.

I think it if was a single object it would be worded so. They'd have probably put in something like "only one item can be created per casting" or something. They just say that you can make items with a craft check.

Personally I'd let it produce multiple objects. A PC creating a box of nails isn't that big of an issue really. Using it for an almost endless supply of masterwork arrows at a cheap cost is not that bad.

Okay, you can convert 1 cubit foot of steel per level into an item. You need to make a craft check. Lets assume we have a 10th level caster with enough steel to make 3 swords (say 9 cubit feet). Can he make multiple items with one casting?
