    Need post-war wilderness encounter suggestions

Once domesticated animals used in the war now feral . Worgs branded with the symbol of the Augest Empire, giant lizards ridden in the fights, etc. A long left over war machine imbued with magic now discovered. Leaves the PCs with a wicked surprise if tampered with. An unusual weapon found...

Are Dark Matter Characters Ruined After Certain Encounters?

I'm using the original Dark Matter sourcebook. I haven't involved the Hoffman institute in the campaign yet. I'm not sure that I'm going to. Part of the element I like in DM is the intrigue. The "What the heck was that?" factor on behalf of the players. The Hoffman Institue demystifies that...

Are Dark Matter Characters Ruined After Certain Encounters?

I need help as I'm planning to meet up with my old group for are semi-annual RPG hiatus with 3 days of gaming. Here is the situation. I am currently running a D20 modern game based on Dark Matter. For those not familiar with Dark Matter, think X-Files. Maybe even Shadow Chasers, although...

Detroit Gameday II: Dec 4th AFTERMATH!!!

Stockdale: You mean the "party" or my character? Thanks for taking the politically correct high road. I see this a veiled statement regarding my "nonfighter type" rogue and his incapacitation from fear. Oh well, at least there was some entertainment. Next time I'll play Laird the man...

Detroit Gameday II: Dec 4th AFTERMATH!!!

I would like to give a shout out and props to all my peeps at gameday. I had a really good time at my first organized role playing event. Definitely sold on doing it again. Hopefully met some people I can play with in the future. Thanks to Stockdale and Quickbeam for running entertaining...

Detroit Gameday II: Dec 4th AFTERMATH!!!

Shadowlight, I would possibley be interested in a RPGA game. I'm vaguely familiar with RPGA, but never been a member or know what tournaments are like, etc. Never knew anyone in the RPGA ( I know, the words of a blasphemer).

Detroit Gameday II: Dec 4th AFTERMATH!!!

For me, if I'm not enrolled in the morning game it is no big deal. There are a number of factors: 1. I still may have to pull out of gameday for hospital related reasons. Don't worry, not my own health! I may have to work although I'm pressing to get it off and won't know until mid-late Nov...

Need help from Planescape Fans Re: The Setting

After seeing several posts by Boz, I have rekindled an interest in Planescape. I've bounced around the idea of picking up some of the material for quite some time. When it was originally released I wasn't horribly thrilled with the setting idea and I was well entertained by Ravenloft and...

Detroit Gameday II: Dec 4th AFTERMATH!!!

Mark is your game DND in the old school sense or DND 3.5? If it's 3.5 then sign me up. I had planned to "Stead the Hill Giant", but would like to play D20 modern in the afternoon. I prefer 4-8th level.....political intrigue or mystery.

Detroit Gameday II: Dec 4th AFTERMATH!!!

Josh, I would be interested in playing in Quickbeam's D20 modern game in the afternoon. I would play in the morning as well, but I don't know any of the available systems. Here's the catch. I'm a doctor and can't fully commit to that weekend until the call schedule comes out which will be in...

As a DM, which class do you wish your group played more?

I'm shocked by many of the people here answering rogue. That is one of the most common characters played in our game. It's such a universial participant with moderate combat abilities and great skill set. Who can turn down all those damn skill points?

Do you have a problem with the distribution of DND skill pionts?

I should qualify my statement. The cost is 2 to gain 1 skill point in knowledge dungeoneering for the fighter. Yes, but the normal character can never answer an in game question related to knowledge since it can't be used untrained.

Do you have a problem with the distribution of DND skill pionts?

We are a group of players who think that is important to have skills related to your character history and story. However, if the dwarven fighter spends his 2 skill pts/level on knowleged dungeonering, it takes an incredibly high cost on his skills normally reserved for more physical skills...

Do you have a problem with the distribution of DND skill pionts?

We're in the middle of a game by now and are having issues with the skill system. As always, I'm looking for help from my fellow EN-Worlders. We are 3rd level characters making our first travels underground and have encountered a number of problems reguarding skills. These are just a few...

Detroit Gameday II -- Now with Date!: Dec. 4th

I may be interested. Depends on the weekend and when I have to work at the hospital, which unfortunately is subject to change on short notice. By the way Detroiters can you help me find some of the game stores in town. I have been in the Dearborn area for two years. I have searched the...
