Mongoose Traveller has been seeing some play at my table; my players (mostly new to Traveller) are lapping it up. The base book is very good; the quality of the supplements are hit-or-miss. I'm also pretty impressed by Starblazer Adventures; it's an odd juxtaposition of fundamentally rules...

Hmmm. I consider it to be so... at least if you want to. There are plenty of ways to spin a non-combatant-primary classes to have some pretty neat combat tricks, like choosing feats or origins to shore up their combat role. And, as I said before, certain skills parley into some effective combat...

No offense taken. That said, I think you are very much wrong. Did you game during the 90's? I did, and there was a morass of imitators and knockoffs of the big games. This was the era that brought us the term "heartbreaker". It's not like there weren't small press game publishers before the OGL...

I'll echo the 60-90 range, though 150-200 also inpired me a lot.

With the right extensions, it seems like it could a great venue for PbP's. I'd like to game more, but I find PbP's sluggishly slow and chat interfaces clunky.
