I'll multiclass Cleric/Warlord :cool: I don't think I have enough info to actually make a decision (about the 4e mechanics/fluff), so I'll refrain from voting, I've played both archtypes before and they can both be fun.

I never was a huge D&D consumer. I might buy 2 D&D books a year tops (1.5 average), outside of my initial investment in the 3e core books (I use the 3.5 SRD rather than buying the books). I use to play a couple collectible games, but quit those because I didn't feel it was worth the investment...

Those fighting styles don't work with the core rules anyway, and even with material outside of core aren't too effective. In melee two handed weapons and occaisonally sword and board always beat two weapon fighting, the exception being the rogue with two weapon fighting.

Don't forget psionic focus, as previously mentioned, was effectivley a 'per encounter' ability, at least at low levels.

I miss sticks to snakes in 3e. Hopefully they'll bring in back in 4th edition :)

Fashion has only come up to the extent that if you're trying to sneak into a highclass establishment or rub elbows with wealthy nobles you shouldn't do it dress in your grubby explorers outfit and well used chainmail (usually PCs will go and buy nobles/courtiers out fits).

There is a difference between too many and too few dungeons in a given campaign, if there had been no dungeons would you have been happy? D&D at its core though involves dungeon crawling in order to kill things and take their stuff.

Not sure I like the sound of this. If phantom steed is too weak move it down a level otherwise a caster character should have to make choices between utility versus combat. But what do I know? Have to wait and see when it comes out, the magic system is receiving such a large overhaul after all.
