    Watchmen shouldn't be a movie

It was some kind of half-baked- "give them a common threat to unite against, and the world will work together as one" notion. I agree that it in all likelihood wouldn't hold up in reality (heck, it doesn't usually even hold up in comics- ask the Silver Surfer, Cable, and Magneto), but...

Doctor Who SE04 EP12: The Stolen Earth (Spoilers!)

I forget which hand is in the TARDIS- is it the Doctor's left? Maybe Davros can take it to replace the mechanical one he's sporting now.

    Watchmen shouldn't be a movie

I had the link to that particular interview up in one of the other Watchmen movie threads at one point, but yeah- that's pretty much what he said (he was referring to David Hayter's script at the time, but how much- if anything- of that might have been changed in the meanwhile is not known.)

    The Incredible Hulk

I think one of the scientists or something mentioned Vita-Rays. I know that the vat you're referring to did mention a certain Professor Reinstein (aka, Dr. Abraham Erskine, the originator of the Super Serum formula in the comics).

Doctor Who SE04 EP12: The Stolen Earth (Spoilers!)

One other thing- why does the name of the Lost Planet Poosh ring bells for me? Ten has mentioned it before, yes? This season?

Doctor Who SE04 EP12: The Stolen Earth (Spoilers!)

Wow. What an ending. I can't wait for next week's episode. Otherwise, there was a little too much of the "Doctor's Amazing Friends" going on in this episode- and the whole Shadow Proclamation thing seemed rather pointless (I'm assuming they'll make an appearance next week, otherwise...

Dr. Who Season 4 Episode 11: "Turn Left" SPOILERS

Was the Face in the preview? Or did you mean Jack? If it was the Face of Boe (and I just missed it), perhaps it is in the Face of Boe's past that they meet? Making the Doctor the one who is familiar with him here? (Because the Face of Boe seemed to know the Doctor before they met, IIRC, which...

    In Remembrance...2008

Holy crap- I just heard about George Carlin. That is a damn shame, way before his time. It's weird- growing up, I used to wonder why people thought this guy was funny; I just didn't get his humor. It's only in the last 5 to 10 years that I've come to appreciate him for the comedic genius that...

    Mongol

Wow- that seems like a pretty extreme reaction. I'd be interested in hearing more of what you did/didn't like.

    Mongol

I do think they went one of these sequences too far (the one that I'd never heard of that takes a fairly large sequence to play out), but otherwise, it is fairly accurate in terms of the actual history of Genghis as I've read it. He really did have some bad luck in regards to that sort of thing...

    Burn Notice

I really, really enjoy this show, but sadly I always forget when it's on. I've missed pretty much the entire recap of the first season that they've been doing as a lead-in to season 2, and to date have only seen a handful of episodes. :(

    Mongol

Back to the movie, saw it today. It was very good- they do take some liberties with the history of Genghis as I've read it in different places, but given that there is no "definitive" history as such- nothing that has been thoroughly documented- this is somewhat forgivable. The focus of the...

    Mongol

All I know for certain is that this is a movie I've wanted to do for a long time, so I've definitely got some high expectations! :)

I'm going to go see it tomorrow, so I'll let you know my thoughts then.

    The Incredible Hulk

I have a feeling it was altered to fit the actor, rather than your suggestion, myself. The bulk of the script by Zak Penn was actually written something like 12 years ago. It went through a couple of rewrites, notably when Edward Norton came on board, and Roth was cast after Norton was already...

    The Incredible Hulk

Same. At least the explanation we got is better than the lack of explanation for Sean Connery's portrayal in Hunt for Red October, though.. :) The first volume was really good, the second started good but then got really wonky and never quite recovered.

    The Incredible Hulk

I haven't read it yet, but I'd think so. Peter David wrote the Hulk for the longest period of time of any writer if I'm not mistaken (12 years!), so he really gets the character. Personally speaking, it was only during PAD's run that I came to like the Hulk- during his Merged Hulk persona days...

    The Incredible Hulk

It was a misstatement on my part. What I meant was more of the material from Norton's version of the script (the stuff that he changed and/or added to the original Zak Penn script that the WGA arbitrated Penn only be credited for; as an aside, I'm wondering if the reason for that arbitration...

    The Incredible Hulk

I had the same thought. Again, not really being military I couldn't say for sure, but it seemed like it would be a huge no-no to be unshaven like that. Some of the footage I heard was cut (specifically, some lengthy Samson/Banner/Betty scenes) I think would have been great to have and added to...

    The Incredible Hulk

Just got back from seeing this, and it was awesome. I really liked the first Hulk movie; I loved this one. All the easter eggs, the multiple origin stories- three and a half, by my count- the performances. I was a little disappointed Tim Roth didn't even try to make his accent more Russian...
