    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

Vanden nods at Maugra's suggestion. "That sounds like a very good idea. I had only thought to visit the library, but the Delver's Guild will probably be a good source of information as well."

    D&D 4E 4E Devils vs. Demons article

Good catch- I'd forgotten that. Just fits in with my Known World/4E theme even more. :)

    D&D 4E 4E Devils vs. Demons article

As a Mystara fan, I've got to say this sounds similar (at least in the small parts we are given here) to some of Mentzer's cosmology from the Gold Box Immortals set. Specifically, the "deific abodes" in an Astral Sea fits with Mentzer's Astral filled with myriad infinite Outer Planes. Even the...

Is the Doctor's name really Doctor Who?

Nothing in season one. A quick Google search reveals what looks to be an upcoming Season 2 episode with Denisof and James Marsters, which is probably what you're looking for.

D&D 4E Manticores will have beards again in 4E

The problem with that is, depending on your source, you might have two different looks for the same creature.

D&D 4E Manticores will have beards again in 4E

I hope they don't go back to the old bull-headed man look. Myself, I prefer the more bestial look in the MM- something that is still humanoid, but feral and with horns. I tire of the "let's just slap an animal head on a human body" artwork for all of those creatures. Not very imaginative.

D&D 3.x Have the designers of 3e said anything about 4e?

Does anyone know offhand if the secret project that WotC asked Monte to work on, but that he turned down, may have been 4E?

    Money is power, literally.

It's also one of the steps in the Ceremony of Sublimation of OD&D dragons, whereby they gain HD and possibly Immortality at some point (in an article in Dragon Magazine by Bruce Heard, reprinted with permission at the Vaults of Pandius).

    Burn Notice

It didn't sound all that interesting to me (aside from Bruce Campbell) when I first heard about it/saw the commercials, but I watched it one night when there wasn't anything else on. Glad I did. It's a really enjoyable show. Each episode pretty much stands alone, yet they still manage to forward...

    Guild Wars

I'm hoping that, when the inevitable day comes that they do stop the servers, that someone smarter than me will have come out with an emulator so I can play at home, or host their own servers- seems to me that there are a couple of old MMOs that have done something of that nature, and don't seem...

    Guild Wars

Been playing this again recently (waiting for the next issue of CoH/CoV before I reactivate my account there). Nightfall is great for the Heroes, that's for sure. The storyline is a lot more evident from the beginning of the game than it is in Prophecies, but it seems to kind of become less so...

    Robert Jordan is gone

I think it has more to do with answering a lot of unanswered questions than necessarily wanting a conclusion, if it makes sense my splitting hairs that way. In comic book lingo, it's like Claremont's X-Men- how many plots did that guy drop during his extensive run that he never got back to...

    Robert Jordan is gone

I echo Mouseferatu's comments. I gave up on WoT after the 6th book or so- it just wasn't moving at all, and I absolutely hated most of the characters; I even got tired of the repetitive fantasy trope of national character being the defining characteristic of all people from that land. That...

    Eladrin

The Warriors of Heaven supplement did make allowances for non-CG Eladrin (of some varieties) even as far back as 2E, though.

Psionics/Oriental Adventures in their own books, or in PHB*, future core books?

Agreed on this point. I'd like to see the core mechanics be flexible enough to cover all mechanics of any sort of campaign setting, and have an "Oriental Adventures" type of book in the same vein as any other campaign book (Eberron, FR)- ie, more descriptive than mechanics. IE, no new classes...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

If the rest of the group isn't up for it, Vanden will find the nearest library/scriptorium/sage in the area, and attempt to do some research on the Water Queen and the ruins beneath this section of Ptolus- looking in particular for something on the dwarves who lived there and their religious...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

"I would like to see if we might be able to find out more about the dwarves whose halls lay beneath the Ten Bells, and this 'Water Queen' before we head back down, but yes- count me in, as well."

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

I know I've been a bit quiet lately, but that's partly due to reduced access I've had for a bit, as well as just a general lull in the action (we're at that in-between part right now). I'm definitely game to continue on and check out the rune circle under the city, though, if everyone else is...

    Ptolus: The Legend of Longcoat

Vanden watches Garn's hyperattentiveness with worry, although he can't quite put his finger on why.
