I hate it as a DM, and penalize them most of the time. (them being the ones that started it.) As a player, In a big groupe, it depends. If I am the leader, they need to know that, and if I have to breack a few bones to prove it, then Ok. If I am the theif, then it's better that they don't know...

Well, If I don't use a cursed item, it is becuase I know that My players are whiners, And if i do, it's for the same reason. I like them as a player and a DM. Sure, it sucks to run into them, but the world isn't just roses, there are thorns too.

He he, My DM (DICE CHILD) and I never wind up getting very far into campaigns, and have played about a minllion 1st level ones. You might try to get hold of him. He isn't on too much, so it might be a bit hard, but He has a few good ones up his sleev.
