Well I finished up Chapterhouse a few days ago, much better than Heretics. I'll never again have trouble which book my father and brother thought was the worst in the series.

The live action series is supposed to take place during that period, so that's one reason the animated version won't. I, for one, am interested in more stuff set during the clone wars, after all the movies only covering the start and the end, and the two previous animated series hardly cover...

I think there may have been a bit of 'let's make it as hard to cancel us as possible' going on as well. Only positive is it won't be as hard/expensive to collect the whole series on dvd now.

Amazon currently has the hardcover version of Hunters of Dune, aka Book 7 part 1, for $5.59, i.e. 80%. Sandworms of Dune, aka Book 7 part 2, is coming August 7th, allegedly.

The thing that got me with the viewing, was who paid for and wouldn't even bother showing up? Jack was the only person who went to it, and since he only found out about it from the newspaper he certainly didn't pay for anything. So who cared enough to pay for a casket, viewing , and funeral...
