    D&D 5E (2014) Identify Mundane Items?

Find Object. "Where is the lock that matches this key." "Describe or name an object that is familiar to you. You sense the direction to the object's location, as long as that object is within 1,000 feet of you. If the object is in motion, you know the direction of its movement. The spell can...

No. If an aasimar is different, no human would be able to tell the difference. It would be indistinguishable from Steve Buscemi.

D&D 5E (2014) I help to make sure people understand this fea

I don't know what your intent is, but you should make it clear one way or the other whether you can not only cast, but also Concentrate, on spells while raging. It doesn't matter for Shillelagh, but might come up if some other feature or multi-classing gives them access to other druid spells.

    In Praise of Dice

I wanted to buy these at the last GenCon (that actually happened) but same. Couldn't justify the expense when I already have so many. They are made from used bourbon barrels. The d6's show the charring on the inside of the barrel.

They make candy dishes like that d20 mug, which is a pretty functional use of the shape. We kept the candy at the table in one and could use mini-chocolate bars to mark inspiration!

You don't. The only thing you know - the only thing that matters as a player - is "Did you have a good time."? If you did, it doesn't matter if the DM fudged the die rolls. If you didn't, it doesn't matter whether the DM used dice as rolled.

"Faced with such a decision, it's just...really hard for me to see why one would choose the former when you could choose the latter." That question I can definitively shed light on. It's because I have actually experienced both methods. on both sides of the screen. And from that actual...

Are you concerned about their reaction, if they should learn that you do or have done it? Absolutely! That would be terrible! For them I mean, not for me. Because once you know how the magician levitates their assistant, you may still be able to appreciate the artistry, but you will have lost...

D&D 4E Anyone playing 4e at the moment?

"Regarding combats being slow, I do have the errata the WotC team did, and I can see they modified many monsters by doubling their damage output and halving their HP." Their adjustments didn't go quite that far. However our "house adjustment" was indeed to half the HP, and double the damage...

    In Praise of Dice

Is fudging required? No. Has anyone said that fudging is required? No. Is fudging the occasional roll more efficient and effective at entertaining the players than other methods? I say yes. Can this be measured or proven? No. Probably because there is no publicly available Funometer. shakes...

    In Praise of Dice

"Players who fudge dice are cheating and that is seen as a bad thing, or at least that is pretty much how it has always been presented to me. If it's wrong for players to fudge die rolls to get the results they desire, why should it be okay for the GM to fudge? Why is a GM fudging not cheating...

"It's rare to have a discussion in which these and the "why even roll" troll don't come up. They're already present in this thread as of page 1. And it happens pretty much without fail." I haven't seen anything I took that way. Just vigorous - but civil - disagreements about approach. We all...

"My favorite dice are the 12d6 I call my "fireball dice"" I have a set of d4s that are numbered 2-5, for Magic Missiles. Sometimes it's the little things that put a smile on your face!
