Personally I much prefer a localized campaign, centered around a specific area, than the ridiculous road-trip adventures that were Tyranny of Dragons and Storm King’s Thunder. Both of those felt like they were designed by committee to have the adventure visit as many popular Forgotten Realms...

This is an important point worth repeating. It makes a lot of sense for Paizo distinguish PF2 from 5E, given that the whole discussion of “Monsters: To scale with level or not to scale with level? That is the question” is entirely a matter of genre, style, and preference.

I love how tactical PF2 is, but sometimes I wish combat was deadlier and character creation was faster. But I might be crazy—an OSR-style version of PF2? It’s an impossible dream.
