    D&D 5E (2014) Players Self-Assigning Rolls

I feel like the questions thing might lead to statements like, "I use mental remembering to determine whether I've punched my DM in the liver lately." And I like my liver too much to deal with that.

    D&D 5E (2014) Players Self-Assigning Rolls

This, in particular, makes no sense to me. I cannot even fathom how a game can take place if the players are not allowed to ask questions.

Looking for tips on a specific Rogue build

The Travel Devotion feat, from Complete Champion, is the solution to all of the Scout's problems, for at least one combat per day. It could also be useful for a flanking rogue.

    Why not Wizard?

Magic seems easy to us (the players), because all we have to do is say, "I magic it." Presumably, however, magic is hard enough that not everyone can do it (or wants to).

D&D 5E (2014) Why penalize returning from death?

We're not heartless. In my game, if a character dies, we also kill the player. You know... put them out of their misery.

Pregnancys risks/complications from a tiefling baby?

I think that metaphysical complications might be more interesting than physical ones. Though tieflings may not necessarily be evil, they are still touched by it, and this could show itself during the pregnancy. The mother (or even the father) may find herself or himself more drawn to, influenced...

How do your PCs meet or know each other?

I once played in a game where the player characters were all siblings.

    My DM is frustrating!

This is not a problem that is likely to be solved by having a character with a "better build". This is a problem of differing play styles and differing game play expectations. You should have a talk with your other players (including your DM) about what has made this experience so frustrating...

How much back story do you allow/expect at the start of the game?

This is sometimes a reaction to having a previous DM go immediately for the old, "Your brother/mother/spouse has been kidnapped by the bad guy. Now you have to do what they say!" or the, "elements of your backstory are naught but grist for the mill." For instance, I played briefly in a campaign...

Delta Green - All Part of the Job

I just wanted to drop in and say that I'm super glad that I found this story-hour, and even more so that it is being updated again. Your dry, workmanlike style of reporting is very fitting for the subject matter. I look forward to dread seeing what happens to your poor player characters next

    Odd things about superheroes...

You can, in fact, get a CRISPR kit on Amazon...

    Falling damage

I am perfectly fine with characters (player, or otherwise) falling hundreds of feet with little consequence. In games that I run, I see no reason to alter the falling damage rules.

    D&D 5E (2014) Jeweler's Skill? Got a player increasing value of treasure..what?

I think that's a great idea. If your players want to explore how magic affects the economy and vice versa, why not let them?

    New Justice League trailer

Its likely they didn't know he was available. If you send them a polite letter, there may still be time for some reshoots.

Star Trek Adventures: Now that the full rules are out, what do you think?

My original post was not an argument, but a statement of opinion.

Star Trek Adventures: Now that the full rules are out, what do you think?

That is your inference, not my implication.

Star Trek Adventures: Now that the full rules are out, what do you think?

Is there some sort of mysterious, invisible "all" somewhere in my post above?

Star Trek Adventures: Now that the full rules are out, what do you think?

It seems foolish to purposely build a roleplaying game that will not appeal to gamers.

New Terminator from Cameron will ignore all but T1 and T2

Man, the people in the Terminator universe are so lucky. I mean, they're all pretty much dead, which sucks, but at least they don't have to put up with Facebook.

D&D 5E (2014) Supporting your LGS! Yes, but...

You need to decide if your stated principle (support my LGS) is worth ~750 DKK. If your principle is worth that much, then it is justified. If your principle is not worth that much, then it is not justified.
