New bards a great class. Poor bard. 3.5 bard was kinda good just in wrong edition.

You need about 1000+ reviews to get a so.ewhat accurate score. Its what polling firms do. Amazon s a bit weird though. Its a 4.0 to 5.0 rating there.

I posted negative things 2015. The 5 power feats, over powered spells etc. Also hit point bloat, encounter rules being junk.

That's random loot. Adventures are different. Ran a few recently. Fighter ended up with AC 24 or 25 by 7th level iirc. My druid had AC -7 (27). Level 12 (funky cp table).

This is why I don't DM 1E. I'll do 2E adding in bits of 1E.

Very few gave it a 10. Alot were 7-9 region.

Heaviest armor wasn't the best. Full plate didn't exist and the weaker armors usually came with higher Enchantment bonuses. +3-5 chainmail was a lot more common than +3-5 plate mail. By level 3 it wasn't unusual to see +1 armor, weapons, elven cloak and boots sometimes gauntlets of ogre...

Sample size is to small. Half dozen of the usual suspects can sink the rating.

Well its something sone of them want to try. Early kingdom building was fun but larger it got the more tedious it was. It was also a long time ago.

Im finding the new critters potent vs 2014. Updates to existing monsters is minimal.

Conjure elemental (8HD) was kinda good....

Drow get the glory but deep gnome was the most broken.

Its more effective hit points than modern D&D with damage inflation as well.

5.5 ones coming close imho. Hit point inflation is biggest hurdle.

Bards kept rolling HD above level 9 or 10 iirc. So did druids. . So you noght get 1d8+2 hp while fighters were capped at +3 higher levels

Couldn't Rangers specialize as well?
