I use cards for lots of things; mostly because all my players are pretty new ... things like how stats change when they do things like rage or use various feats.
Also special items, custom monster stats(for lower level anyway; dragons and spellcasters require a lot more space)...
Encumbrance, for the same reason. Also, I don't use cross-class skills. It seems to add unnecessary complexity and I just plain don't like the cross-class skills thing anyway.
I think names that I come up with are not so much cheesy, but very derivative.
Abhorrec(abhorrent) the Unholy; current bbeg.
Hunedain, the current emporer.
Kelemar the Betrayer, fallen defender of Syrene's Glory.
Azure City. The Path of Night. Sad Man's Way. Partshire. Do'Shan Ghul...
I like to have polarized stats: 2 high, 2 low, and 2 moderate(10-11)
THe most fun character I've ever played had a strength of 6, a con of 2, a dex of 18 and an int of 17. Simply making it to the next day was a huge reward.
I took both those tests just now.
It said true neutral human bard(with bents towards lawful and good)
str 10
dex 14
con 13(this would prolly be a lot higher if I didn't smoke)
int 14/14 (separate scores for parts 1 and 2 ... looks like I'm consistent)
wis 15 (this has consistently been my...
WHy is that? Did she coin the term or something?

What would I like to see in a 4e game?
lots of fun. Anything else I could prefer has already been adequately covered, as far as I can tell right now.
Huh. I had exactly this happen in my game about amonth ago. THe damsel is a dragon. A silver dragon, but the PCs don't know it yet. They just suspect she's more than she seems.
I know little about these spells, but you may want to compare all the mechanics of them: duration, target, distance, etc. That may be where the difference lies. Given what you say, though, it does seem backwards.
I feel lucky here. Most of my players are brand new to DnD; brought from video games. One of the best things they love(mentioned, anyway) about DnD is that you can try and do anything at all. Just roll a d20 and I'll tell you what mods to add(or subtract:)).
If any of my players are cheating, he's got to be the worst I've ever seen. THe entire group has such bad luck with dice that a combat between four 3d level characters and a gibbering mouther took 14 rounds.
D'Oh. I'll have to remedy that. If any service deserves my dinero it's ENWorld. But in the meantime I am my username AT hotmail DOT com. My username being goblyn; sorry if that's an insult to your intelligence. I've been awakw for a really long time.
Joshua Randall said all that I was going to say when I saw te thread, so I'm not going to say anything. Nothing at all. Nope; this me saying nothing. Check out http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/planes.htm for the ogl content's-worth of the MotP.
:)
I'm not gone then.
I love all the options. Best thing? Feats. Second best? All those wierd combat options. Absolute best? Since 3e came out, I've introduced about dozen new players to the game.
:):):):):):):):D
Given that, should there be such a creature in existence, could you present a possible rarionale for it? I'll understand if you need some time on this one.
Oh, and this is an awesome thread.
librarius_arcana, this is for you: I believe what folks here are asking for is a rationale for your assertion that M/M is contrary to designing a character as opposed to a set of numbers for a wargame. While I do respect this sentiment, I believe that what you see as M/M is seen by others here...
