    Kobold That Walks, Round Two!

Klixxit should've picked up the "Transdimensional Spell" metamagic feat... (although it probably wasn't in existance back then...)

    Metamagic

So thats 62.5 - 90 hp fire damage, Reflex save (DC 13 + Caster's stat mod)) for half. For an 8th level slot. I wonder who thinks that that is a good idea?

Augment Healing + Mass Lesser Vigor

Augmented Healing affects all Conjuration [Healing] spells. But I also allow paladins a Remove Affliction ability instead of their fantastic Remove Disease, so they get to replicate the following spells, Cure Serious Wounds, Daylight, Lesser Restoration, Remove Blindness/Deafness, Remove Curse...

Is the Spiked Chain Fighter really that Cheesy?

So basically we are all agreed: 1) Spiked Chain ain't that good, really. Honestly. Sure its fun, but there are other, cheaper roads to achieve the same effect or similar. 2) The picture in the PHB is unrealistic.

How often do you use traps?

Basically never. They just aren't that interesting.

CHRONOSCOPE - new from Reaper Miniatures

I was hoping for historical figures... Guess I'm still out there looking for 25mm roman or persian figures.

Full bonus on the roll to hit. Half Str bonus on the damage .

    Armor in RPG's

I can sympathise with this sentiment Today, you can do the first, but it doesn't make much real world sense. Fighting an opponent armoured in plate, your fencing blade is nigh useless. You could probably even persuade your DM to let you do the latter, as well, and gain a middling AC. But...

Is the Spiked Chain Fighter really that Cheesy?

Tried that tack earlier, didn't seem to have much effect, I'm afraid. DnD thrives on the improbable and the impossible. Reality doesn't have much to do with fantasy at all. But Tetsubo is perfectly correct. It is an improbable weapon. I just don't have a problem with the weapon being...

Other adventure types than Dungeon Crawling

Try reading some of the history from the Age of Discovery until ca 1850. Those explorer types had pretty exciting, interesting lives. Dutch merchant ships running aground on the west coast of Australia, Mutinies, Whole expeditions that disappear, lost Islands, unmapped continents, Cannibals...

Need to name an ancient group of heroes

"Ancient heroes" ? The Infirm The Incontinent The League of Elderly Gentlemen? The Fellowship of the Decrepit? The Dead, the Near-dead, and the Dying?

    Insect Plague 3.0

You seem to be confusing diameter with radius. The radius of a circle is the length from the center of the circle to a point on the circle. The diameter, is twice the distance of the radius. Therefore, to me it seems that the spell creates a cloud of insects, with a radius of 90 feet, from...

Is the Spiked Chain Fighter really that Cheesy?

The weapon as is, isn't worth a feat. IMO, it really needs something else added to it to justify the cost. But then again, I think none of the Exotic weapons are really worth the cost of a feat.

    Alright already!!!

Which is why you don't over specialise.... Still this does not preclude the fact that the 3.x fighter does have a myriad of choices of how to best tackle the present tactical situation, if he has been Intelligent in his feat selection.
