Estimating the value of the core feats?

...? There are a lot more important feats that grant more flexibility than improved Sunder. I'd take Improved Grapple well before I'd even look at Improved Sunder. ummm... except we were discussing the relative value of core feats, not "fixing" them.

Estimating the value of the core feats?

Or could be said to be so specific as to be next to useless. How many times will a character be fighting kraken or hydras?

Estimating the value of the core feats?

Wow... so much effort, and so much I disagree with. Far shot is almost worthless in most campaigns: the average encounter distance is much less than the improved range would allow you shoot, making it basically a complete waste. The entire Mounted feat chain is extremely circumstancial. IMO...

    True seeing Disadvantage

I disagree. Just as true seeing allows you to see into the ethereal, as well as through magical darkness, does not imply that you are unaware of the existance of the magical darkness, nor that you are incapable of seeing things on your present plane of existance. The same would apply to your...

    True seeing Disadvantage

I'd strongly disagree with that statement. There is nothing about the spell description which states you are unaware of the illusions, transmutations, polymorphed shapes or what ever else that the spell penetrates. In fact, doing so makes it almost worthless.

Do spells end with the death of the caster?

While most monsters are not people, people are in general pretty monstrous.

(Yet another) Try at fixing the Fighter

No, it mentions Narrow Surface "7-12 inches wide" : DC10. A stair strikes me as a narrow surface.

On homogeneity, or how I finally got past the people talking past each other part

In one of the early "Games of Death", held here on these boards, a certain player (whose name eludes me now) demonstrated the power of the bard. No one participating in that game would have called the bard underpowered, after his opening few rounds. We were pretty much WoTC 3.0 (I remember there...

Nobody is running. The unhurried defender needs to make DC 10, while moving at half speed.

The unrushed defender is still going to fail their balance check 40% of the time.

(Yet another) Try at fixing the Fighter

take ten isn't going to cut it when you are facing a -8 to your balance check (-6 for full plate, -2 for heavy steel shield). The unrushed defender is going to fail their balance check 40% of the time! Gotta suck if want to actually force the action and fight your through the attackers...

(Yet another) Try at fixing the Fighter

To the extent that said stairs would be hazardous to the armoured defender as well? Are you suggesting that the defenders should remain unarmoured? That the stairs themselves provide a near lethal barrier to any armoured person, whether they are defended or not? For my part, I doubt most...

Anything build off of rebuke elemental domain ability

Well, I would say the possibility of commanding an air elemental or two could be extremely useful, in and of itself.

(Yet another) Try at fixing the Fighter

Because I can't see any reason to force a PC to have the knowledge of a feat, that their character has no intention of ever using. Given the flexibility of the D20 system, I see no need to force the issue. It is actually very table dependant, just how often the encumbrance comes into play...

(Yet another) Try at fixing the Fighter

I allow PC fighters to switch out their Medium and Heavy Armour proficiencies for other feats, if they so desire. I also allow them to do the same for their Shield feats. I really see no need to penalise the poor player more for trying to create an interesting PC. I also grant fighters a...

Best level 7/8 spells for a high level evil sorcerer?

Except (and I do accept that this up to DM adjudication): Always strikes me as meaning you aren't going to convince a Celestial creature to defend an Evil being for any length of time, as it will almost certainly lead to direct conflict against other good-aligned beings. Bound Evil, on the...

Best level 7/8 spells for a high level evil sorcerer?

Evil Drow convincing Good Planetar.... (irony) Sounds cheep and easy (/irony), or if you are the DM, cheesy.
