The difference is that, in drawing a weapon you are performing a Move Action. By moving you are Moving. Doesn't seem much but it is a big difference. I wouldn't give an AoO for someone drawing a sword. That's just plain silly to me.

My group includes an ECL 15 Half Dragon Psy Warrior with an AC around 30. Not a problem as a good few of the big bads have +25 to +30 to hit.

If your players are that lazy/dim you've got more trouble than houserules.

I think you're right to give it such a small range, otherwise you'd have to factor in wind strength and direction and probably a boatload of things I haven't thought of. How much use does it get in your game?

I thought that having a fairly complicated language system might be problematic, but it doesn't seem to have been. Not sure if it is because I don't audit the PCs or if it is because they understand it (I think the latter).

I use DMGenie on a lappy for my game and find it invaluable. I think I would find running the game much harder without it. I don't tend to look stuff up on it, though. I rely on the numerous books around the table which tend to be faster than scanning through a pdf. Several of my players use...
