    D&D General 6E But A + Thread

Remove ability modifiers. Make use of the scores. Or if that's not workable remove the scores and just use modifiers. Combine to-hit and damage into a single roll. Like 1d20+weapon - AC. Or maybe weapon damage with armor as THP. Or plenty of other options. Make casters cast spells...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact Of Chain Warlock is really powerful now.

Or barbarian. Medium armor. Rage doesn't end AoA (or Mirror Image). +2 damage and advantage on 3 attacks. And a lot of the invocations aren't spells.

D&D 5E (2024) Pact Of Chain Warlock is really powerful now.

Maybe, maybe not. In my limited experience, i probably average 2 of the 3 spells per day. Meaning I have a dead level most of the time. Foresight was always useful. Didn't play a 2024 warlock yet, but Tasha's Bubbling Cauldron should also be useful every day. So that mitigate some of it...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact Of Chain Warlock is really powerful now.

Like what? Finger of Death once per day isn't as good as +4 AC and +2 damage on each attack. Remember warlocks can't use their higher slots to upcast and they only get 1 spell. So their versatility is extremely limited. So if your against a litch, you may have a completely wasted level...

D&D 5E (2024) Pact Of Chain Warlock is really powerful now.

Bladelock is best at 12, when you can get a 3rd attack and heavy weapon master (assuming you got 20 Cha first). Which is better than Paladin 11. Though I would still dip Paladin or Fighter 1 first to get armor. But then there's nothing past that until you hit. Foresight at 17. I could maybe...

Agreed. But it still multiclasses well after that. Sorcerer for quicken Eldritch Blast. Paladin or Fighter for armor and masteries. Barbarian for Rage + Armor of Agathys. Rogue for sneak attack and skills. Bard for support.

D&D General Does anyone recall coming across any magic weapons that return when thrown...other than Dwarven Thrower, Hammer of Thunderbolts or magic boomerangs?

There was something like bracers of infinite daggers as well, which let you conjure and throw them. 2014 artificer has it too.

That's where the multiverse comes into play. Lord Neverember is dead in this universe, but alive in another.

It doesn't need to affect your campaign at all. You can easily ignore it.

Really it's the only way to explain how everyone gets a different campaign in the same world.

Then your just more powerful than the rest of your party who don't get one. Then your back to feats or magic item (which is DM dependant). Or a DM PC.

I disagree. A subclass shouldn't overshadow a class. But if you made a full pet class, then the pet would have much more power budget and be able to overshadow the master.

Purple Dragon Knight Retooled as Banneret in D&D's Heroes of Faerun Book

There are several feats that grow with level. Like Inspiring Leader or indirectly like Heavy Armor Master. I see no reason why a dragon feat could do it that way (i.e. HP is equal to 3*your level).

Depends on how strong the dragon is. But alternatively, dragons could be "magic items". Uncommon: Wyrmling Rare: Juvenile Very Rare: Adult Legendary: Ancient

Wouldn't that be better as a feat (chain) then?
