Also for a graphic like you scanned, it think a .gif may make a smaller file size for you. jpeg is good for things like photos of people or places.

Ok mega, when you scan at a high resolution say a 2x3 area, when you really look at it the scan comes out to like 10x15. If you have a graphic program, even a cheap download you can look at the image in actual size, and then use reduction to make the true size smaller while retaining the higher...

Mega try it at 100. If the resolution is too high even a square inch will be a file size that is too big. It is fie size, not image size that matters.

How high is your resolution when you scan?

Just learned from Horacio that Europe does not use the 101 thing. To an American it means that it is a class and a beginning class. US colleges have courses like Biology 101, etc.
