    D&D 3.x Spells (3.5) that prevent resurrection?

Same ruling, too. I personally would rule that the person is dead if you do enough damage to the statue that a Stone to Flesh would reveal only a dead, mishapen body. At that point a True Res could work. Well, maybe; that's very DM-dependent.

Some divinations, not all. Discern location, for example, is not stopped by lead.

    D&D 3.x Spells (3.5) that prevent resurrection?

I suppose one could interpret it either way. Interesting. If turned to stone and then disintegrated to a pile of dust, I would think it fair to call you dead, and thus subject to Resurrection or True Res. It's a judgement call.

    D&D 3.x Spells (3.5) that prevent resurrection?

Soul Bind is good, as is using a Barghest or a Barghest's Feast spell, though that only prevents a True Res for 50% of its victims. So, unless someone comes up with something else, there appears to be no truly foolproof way to keep a True Res from working. One can sure make it difficult...

    D&D 3.x Spells (3.5) that prevent resurrection?

"The condition of the remains is not a factor. So long as some small portion of the creature’s body still exists, it can be resurrected, but the portion receiving the spell must have been part of the creature’s body at the time of death. (The remains of a creature hit by a disintegrate spell...

How Long Can A Bard Sing For?

My 18-th lvl bard does not have it. It's always tempting, but I always find somthing more useful. Our group figures we make so much noise walking around anyway, that it would not make much difference.

How Long Can A Bard Sing For?

That's an incorrect assumption. "...they can all be activated by reciting poetry, chanting, singing lyrical songs, singing melodies, whistling, playing an instrument, or playing an instrument in combination with some spoken performance..." This sort of thing could easily be kept up a long...

Items that give bonus to Leadership score?

Keeping in mind that such a bonus would stack with a Charisma bonus, I'd say a reasonable price would be about 12k. Less than the Charisma +4 bonus, but still a significant cost.

Do you provoke AoO's while invisible?

Well, after two previous battles it seems like the druid got smart. :) I like the idea that a powerful party gets to be well-known, including their general tactics and strengths and weaknesses. So that a BBG knowing of them, and being prepared for them, would not be out of line at all. But...

Revivify as a legacy weapon ability that costs action points

I like the action point cost thing. Very cool - very much an action hero sort of thing to do. It feels right to me. I think I'd consider even dropping the 1/week restriction, instead requiring the material component of 1,000 GP of diamonds that vanish when used (they could be embedded in the...

Can I wear a symbol of death on my armor?

It seems legitimate, provided that one structures it within the restriction of "You can’t use a symbol of death offensively." Of course, at 5,000 GP each casting (+4,000 exp pts if permanent) this gets expensive quickly, though, since it can only be cast at high levels, this may not be too big...

    RAW includes Rule 0?

The point of understanding the rules as written (RAW) is: 1. As a player, know the rules so you can play with well and do not delay the game session by taking along time looking up rules. 2. For a DM, it's similar to (1), plus the fact that one should understand RAW before changing the rules...

Slightly tricky brooch of Shielding question (was easy)

But it is still a 1st level spell. Just using a 6th level spell slot to cast due to metamagic.

    Wands of Cure Light? Bah!

    1. Quite right - it is indeed like a vampire using his summon rats ability to get something to feed on. Only different. 2. It might be okay for an evil PC (which I think is a bad idea to start with), but certainly not for anyone else. Anyway, it would be up to a DM to decide what to do...

What's your take on the Leadership feat?

And even at that, the race, class and alignment are what you attempt to get, not necessarily what is avialable. This feat is heavily DM-dependent. Without heavy DM involvement, it can, indeed, be horribly broken.

What's your take on the Leadership feat?

Actually, it does not "break the game wide open" if run correctly - with heavy DM involvement. The key word is "try." The character is supposed to try and get what he/she wants, but, in the end, you get what you gete. Where this gets broken is when a DM lets the player roll up whatever...

What's your take on the Leadership feat?

The potential for an abusive amount of power comes when a DM allows thr player to make up the cohort. In my opinion, it is far batter to have the PC take the feat and then let it be know what sort of cohort they seek, then the DM lets them know what they actually find- which will not be exactly...

Slightly tricky brooch of Shielding question (was easy)

That's a reasonable approach, and not at variance at all with what I said. On the other hand, to have NPCs always have equipment that is fully charged strains credibility. It would also be reasonable to have an NPC with a wand with very low charges, but also have another fresh wand as a...

Slightly tricky brooch of Shielding question (was easy)

Sure, but that's just abusing the system. It's absolutely reasonable that the wands and other charged items an NPC has are not fully charged. It's just as likley as, over time, that the PC's items are not fully charged.

Slightly tricky brooch of Shielding question (was easy)

Correct. No level drain under these circumstances. To be fair to the PC who is using these Magic Missles, The Brooch of Shielding that is absorbing the damage should not start out at the full 101 hit point capability. Some percentange of that should have been used up in previous encounters.
