Shidaku said it first! I was going to say, innate is the only word that makes sense for describing what sorcerers do: their magic powers are an intrinsic part of them, rather than being learned in a laboratory or whatever, the way wizards do it.

If you're a STR BladeLock, yes. If you're a DEX BladeLock, it's pretty much rapiers, all day every day, so having +1 magic rapier for a pact blade isn't a bad thing. This is also true for Blade Pact Warlocks, I think. Although I wouldn't mind pumping it up with Elemental Bane. Actually, at this point I'm not clear on which classes get this cantrip added to their lists. Do we have that info yet?
