That's true. Wrote that in a hurry :heh: You can use RC if you don't have OUTDOOR SURVIVAL for wilderness exploration, etc...

Use OD&D as your base rules-set and pick portions of RC as needed (mass-combat for example :) )

It's more about the spirit and gaming attitude and general flavour rather than concrete mechanics. Classsic D&D and AD&D shared a common soul and attitude. d20 1st edition and the upcoming d20 second edition (a.k.a 4th Edition D&D) has changed too much in spirit, soul and style. That's why...

To the OP: I'd say your playing a medieval flavoured game with a very modern mentality. IMNSHO that is just wrong and contrary to the spirit of the game. YMMV. ;)

I think that C&C works great without feats or feat like actions. Since I started playing C&C I just got rid of feats. But C&C is all about "play the game you want". If you like PCs to perform feat-like actions, go ahead. Don't hinder your fun because "that's not in the book". :) Every DM plays...

Maybe because you find C&C a better game than 3.5. That simple. After playing 3e for four years, nobody is missing skills nor feats in C&C at all. We don't even make them work via the SIEGE engine. Feats are gone, period. And we are having a blast, and feeling we are playing D&D again.

You can start by joining dragonfoot's C&C forums and Troll Lord Game's Forums. There are lots of guys willing to help you there. I only don't know if there are very fond of Eberron. Someone did some conversions of Eberron races at the Troll Lord Forums. Search in those places. By the way...
