    Magic Items #2

Cool, Rad so Milestones (every two encounters) affect more than gaining a new action point.

    Design & Development: Halflings [merged]

New Design and Development: Halflings There's a new Design and Development article up at WotC, and I haven't seen anyone post about it yet. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drdd/20080208a&authentic=true Here's the text. Only crunch hints I can see are that Halflings might get a...

D&D 4E What will be your 4e setting?

Depending on the rate of advancement in my current homebrew's planned plot-arcs I may be adapting it to 4E. But if it's wrapped up to our satisfaction (that's my players and me, not the royal plural) I'm considering doing a 4e conversion of the Age of Worms or Savage Tide Adventure Paths, so...

    the "truth" about classes

Actually it does, just not explicitly. Emphasis mine. We'd already predicted that Warlord would be a leader class that used tactics to aid its allies, and this unnamed class fits that description. I doubt they ment that a fighter was a tactics class, when all we've heard about the fighter so...

    the "truth" about classes

New Playtest Report http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drpr/20070824a More evidence that Warlord is going to be a base class in the PHB, and possibly Warlock as well. Or that they were base classes in the version of the rules that were available at the time. I like the idea of a tactics...

    Your D&D Pedigree

Only my D&D pedigree. Introduced to AD&D1e by my brother in 1989, just before 2nd edition hit, had no idea what I was doing. Got my 2e PHB for my ninth birthday in 1990. Played in my brother's campaign. 1991 First became a DM when I was 10, playing the Mentzer Red box and soon after the Black...

    Complete Scoundrel Here

I'm a bit unclear on the skill point cost for Tricks. Do they all cost 2 skill points (which are then used for buying tricks instead of skill ranks.) Would it be unbalanced to allow the skill characters to use the tricks without the skill point cost if they had the skill rank prerequisites...

A thing about d20 D&D I didn't like, and still don't know why it was done...

Seriously? While EnWorld began as a place to discuss the news about the upcoming 3rd Edition and D20 products, the number of threads in the general discussion forum that discuss the older editions is a significant number. This sort of comment would have been more appropriate on the Wizards.com...

Classed Drow in Monster Manual IV

Classed Drow The classed Drow in MMIV are Lolth's Sting (Ninja 4), Dark Sniper (Scout 6), Arcane Guard (Fighter 2/Wizard 5), and Drow Priestess (Cleric 8).

Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Maps and the Delve Format

Like apparently many fans of 3.5 D&D who played earlier editions, I was excited to pick up Expedition to Castle Ravenloft. While I like the addition of the Delve format to published adventures, the map inclusion leaves something to be desired. Each map in the 2 page tactical encounters is a...

    Spelljamming Giff

Dragon #339 You're thinking of the article Races of Spelljammer: Wanderers of Wildspace, from Dragon #339 by Joshua Cole. In addition to Giff, it features updates of Insectare (green elves with antennae behind their ears), and Scro (space orcs).

Favorite System that Never Caught On

My votes go for Masque of the Red Death and Buck Rogers XXV. I loved games based on varient AD&D 2nd edition rules. And another vote for an improved RIFTS, the setting and rules are good, but it became the poster boy for POWER CREEP.
