    D&D 5E (2014) PC Personality Type Alternative

I agree alignment is not personality. I’m just not sure if I would use both systems. I find alignment to not be all that useful and thought this might be a good alternative.

    D&D 5E (2014) Aasimar & Tiefling offspring

Volo’s page 104 says “descended from humans” and “celestial heritage” and “an assimar is mortal.” That doesn’t seem clear to me, pretty ambiguous actually.

D&D 5E (2014) The Tortle Package Coming Soon...

I'm guessing Mike doesn't really want to answer. My question would be, since armor doesn't add to their AC but Defense fighting style requires worn armor could a tortle wear a chain shirt (or whatever might fit their body) and have a +1 to AC?

D&D 5E (2014) The Tortle Package Coming Soon...

Of course that would be tough. but if the boulder had legs to brace against the ground and arms to try to push me away, it would make it more difficult not less.

D&D 5E (2014) The Tortle Package Coming Soon...

I'm imagining the tortle withdrawing its head, tail, and limbs inside its shell when it uses its Shell Defense. Is there another possibility? How would that help from being grappled, pushed, etc. if the arms and legs are inside its shell, and it cannot see ehat is happening? I guess it has...

D&D 5E (2014) The Tortle Package Coming Soon...

It's 28 pages. There are 3 new monsters plus statted tortle npc & tortle druid as well as 3 specific ToA tortle guides. There are some adventure hooks and then most of the rest is campaign descriptions of locations on their island.

D&D 5E (2014) The Tortle Package Coming Soon...

I'm trying to think of how one would ever need advantage on a Strength check when withdrawn into its shell.

Faster than a dwarf seems odd. AC and shell defense seem powerful. Description seems fun.

Does that sound how you and others see it playing out?

D&D 5E (2014) How would you rule on this Dispell Magic?

And, as I have said, not so strangely, the only part I see a problem with is your "starts to run" statement. I apologize for the confusion, but I did address this earlier on this thread.

D&D 5E (2014) How would you rule on this Dispell Magic?

I agree the effects are the same but think the path matters. I'm fine if we disagree will let it go but wouldn't mind if others weigh in.

Sorry. I responded to your response, thinking it was Ovinomancer, to whom my quote that you replied to addressed:

D&D 5E (2014) How would you rule on this Dispell Magic?

You said the wizard would get a chance to dispel before the knight "starts to run." It's cause and effect. If he didn't act first to move, then she would have no reason to even think about him, much less cast a spell to stop him from doing something he isn't doing yet. Perhaps initiative and/or...

D&D 5E (2014) How would you rule on this Dispell Magic?

I still read it differently: the difference I see is that it says the weilder of the staff casts a spell using the rod, that spell can be dispelled. On the other hand dispel failed to disrupt the staff's magical properties, which to me would be the One Ring turning its wearer invisible - there...
