A better loop hole is being a human, from the Dalelands (FR), and taking the regional feat Militia... which gives you the martial weapons, without taking a single level of fighter. You are only loosing one caster level now... if your DM allows it, that is... Mike

Sure... it'll give the guy one round of attack(s) with the benefit of the spell. Not a very good use of a 4th level spell.... but it will work as you want it to. Mike

He just gets it... no study or training required (other then the DM's std. level up training). Unless the DM says different of course. Mike

You are both right... poor BAB for the Warmage. RookSeven, you might also consider the eldritch knight PrC from the DMG. FIghter 1/Sorcerer 6/Eldritch Knight x Or just Sorcerer 6/Eldritch Knight x... if you come from the right part of FR. ;) Mike

You might want to think about the Arcane Trickster PrC? Rogue 3 Bard 7 AT 10 7d6 sneak attack & casts as a 17th level bard. Practiced Spellcaster is a good thing... ;) Mike
