I highly recommend V for Victory, if you want to run a quick, lite campaign. If you're looking to run something more long-term, then Hell on Earth may be what you're looking for. It is d20 Modern-based. I haven't used this supplement, but I have read it, and it seems pretty sound. Weird Wars...

What about a 'magic detector' you have to pass through before you go onto an airplane, and other places... wands of detect magic to pinpoint the location of your illicit magical item... interesting...

Since network execs have to tie their stars to success, I'd go with BSG, since Firefly failed to draw enough of an audience to keep it on the air. As a fan, I'd still go with BSG. I only saw a couple of episodes of Firefly.

I second both of these. Action is at least as extensible as d20 Modern, though it is not as well supported. And the bonus is that both rulesets are free, as in beer.

Night vision and the modern military... All the American crew-level night vision equipment is essentially "low-light vision" equipment (I was going to use the term active or passive, but I couldn't remember which is which). What this means is that you don't need additional lighting to operate...

I second the quality of products coming out of RPGO. I don't normally buy PDF products, but I've bought a couple of the samurai series and the entire B&G series in the last few months. Soon as I get a breath, I'll post a review over at silven.

Blood and Guts II looks like a good starting point if you're going to 'convert' Morrow, though there shouldn't be much to convert, since it's basically a setting with some kludgy rules.

There's also pathguy's which is free: http://www.pathguy.com/d20modern.htm. It's a little kludgy, but it works fine if you're looking to generate something quickly.
