    Quiet around these parts...

Hullooo... Is there anybody there? Hullllooooo? Well, my D&D group probably isn't going to be playing this weekend because of people's other plans. So, I thought about trying a test run of the Mutants and Masterminds rules. Anyone interested in playing on Sunday?

    This Weekend

Well... I probably won't get out of work until noon or so Saturday. I will probably take a raincheck on gaming Saturday then. I haven't talked to the family to see if they want to go to the concert, but if I talk them into it, I'll give y'all a call. And, if anyone wants to park in front of my...

    This Weekend

That sounds good to me. Well, starting in a couple of weeks. Not Snakes on a Plane. I wouldn't mind seeing it, but we are really tight. Free is good. Although I have been making fun of Chubby Checker ever since they announced the show. I'll see if the family wants to go. Maybe we could move...

    Spooooooooon!

I know. I can't wait, although I am going to have to. I have the live-action, but it just isn't the same without American Maid and Die Fladermaus...

    Superhero Fridays

So... were we talking about trying the superhero game this Friday? Mutants and Masterminds set in their Freedom City (in New Jersey) or San Angelo (in California)? I love both worlds, so either would work for me.

    Superhero Fridays

I personally would not want to quit the Saturday games.

    Superhero Fridays

That's really up to Vince, I guess. Assuming we were playing at his house and assuming it works into his schedule, we could make characters in a couple of weeks and be ready to play two weeks after that. That's a lot of ifs though. Well, comic books are rife with special guest stars who drop...

    Superhero Fridays

I really don't know why I wrote this, there are actually quite a few superhero game systems being supported right now. Other superhero game systems available right now include: Champions from Hero Games GURPS Supers from Steve Jackson Games Heroes Unlimited from Palladium Games Several D20...

    Superhero Fridays

Particulars of the game? 3-4 hours on Friday nights. Say 7-11 as the normal game time. I would hope it would be on the weeks we are not playing Vince's game on Saturday. The easiest style of game for me would be one where I can use one of my pre-existing superhero worlds. I would be leaning...

    Superhero Fridays

So, Vince, Jason and I were talking about me running a superhero game on alternating Fridays. Say, 7 p.m. or so. Probably Mutants and Masterminds, but Silver Age Sentinels would also be an option. Anyone interested? (Lord Fyrestryke, I am looking at you especially here.)

    8/19?

Definitely a collector's mentality. I made the mistake, about a month ago, of actually looking at the books I have from Hero Games and comparing them to a complete list I found online. I realized I was about 10 books away from having a complete run of the books from first through fourth edition...

    8/19?

That's the way I am with RPGs Craig. As of my Gen Con spending spree, I am two books away from having 700 role-playing games and supplements. Although, probably 30 of them are Adventurer's Club, Dragon, Dungeon and Polyhedron magazines. So, maybe I really am closer to 650 than 700. And the vast...

    8/19?

I'm really up for playing whatever at this point. We had talked about Traveller but only a few people can make it, so we can reschedule that or not. I wouldn't even mind sitting around making superhero characters for Mutants and Masterminds or pro wrestlers for Know Your Role (an OGL WWE...

    8/19?

Talked to Jason, he's good for Saturday. So, at least three of us. Don't know about Craig or Bob or Nick.

    8/19?

Well, I know Chachi and Lord Fyrestryke are both out for this weekend. Haven't talked to Jason about playing yet. Vince, it could be just you and me?

    8/19?

Assuming it is OK with everyone, I'd like to just stick with T4 for Saturday's session. I think GURPS is probably a better game, but I really haven't had time to digest it yet. Who is planning on coming? Do we have a quorum?

    Munchkin Cthulhu

I saw that this morning on the SJ Games Web site! More money down the Steve Jackson drain for me, apparently. I wonder what level Cthulhu is? And IIRC isn't he already represented in the basic Munchkin game? Plus they have Munchkin Impossible coming out and Super-Munchkin 2!

    8/19?

I did get a bunch of GURPS Traveller books at Gen Con. I think I could be ready to run that this weekend, if anyone is interested. We'd remake the already existing characters, I think, in the new system. I've got a lot of reading to do though :)

    Traveller?

Well, in my continuing quest to not pay full price for gaming books, at Gen Con yesterday, I picked up a starter set for GURPS Traveller which included the main book, an adventure, GM screen, GURPS Lite rules and a book on alien races. The individual books were $65, bundled as a $30 bundle...
