    D&D 5E (2014) What is a PC's "CR"?

No. They don't add like this. Correction: up to level 2 that actually works exactly like that. Up to level 4 it is close to that. In 3e there was a logarithmic/exponential scale. One ceature of CR X + 2 is equal to 2 creatures of CR X. In 5e there is no such stric formula. But the XP can be...

The Gith Are Now Aberrations in Dungeons & Dragons

Logically that makes sense if being aberration strictly effects your physiology. The question is what counts as significantly. That is a problematic sense. Looking like a humanoid does not make something a humanoid. A vampire looks like a humanoid. It drinks (blood). It reproduces by...

The Gith Are Now Aberrations in Dungeons & Dragons

This is the same mistake which I often observe: cause and effect are mixed up. Especially if you make a chain of some logical conclusions.

    D&D 5E (2024) What's Your 2026 WotC D&D Wishlist?

I wish they have a d&d line of sticky notes with "creature type: humanoid" written on it. Should make a lot of people happy. ;)

No. Instead learn spells from the evil and good line.

The Gith Are Now Aberrations in Dungeons & Dragons

Why should it? To you feel it should make you an abberation? It is not the psychic power alone. It isbas explained being transformed by the agents of the far realm.

    D&D 5E (2024) Monster Manual 2025 Stat Block Compilation

Urgh. 27 hp. Being able to half damage. 1d6+3 damage. I don't like them.

Agreed. I always loved the good side of necromancy. And it is not out of thin air. Anatomists used to undig corpses for studies when it was not considered pious.

But not through his battle prowess. He is just a totally cute little dragon and he always wins their heart.

But Koboldicus had proficiency in wisdom saves and could reroll if they failed. So the odds were stacked against the players anyway ;)

The Gith Are Now Aberrations in Dungeons & Dragons

Lately in "in the last 25 years". As @Voadam correctly stated. 3e did it. 3.5 did it. And probably if we go back to the TSR area, we probably find examples where ADnD 1e or 2e did it. For reference: The Giant class Table of 1st edition... You will notice that some of those creatures have not...

The Gith Are Now Aberrations in Dungeons & Dragons

I agree. But that is not the point. The point was that the "person" in the spell generally told you, who you can target. Something that resembles humans (which varied by definition), but not "any sentient being" which was the thing I answered to. Dragons are sentient being and never were...

The Gith Are Now Aberrations in Dungeons & Dragons

I did not say that. I gave a reasoning why giths are probably categorized as Aberrations. Psionic power and I add touched by the far realm. depends who you ask... ;) Your definition is as valid as anyone else´s as it is a game of make belief.

The Gith Are Now Aberrations in Dungeons & Dragons

This is what the Wizard spell of 2e said regarding affected creatures: Note, that nixies and kobolds are affected as they were in 5.14. So yes. 30 years... or better more than 30 years... (but I play for 30 years now, so I used my experience as a reference): spells that target "persons" target...
