I like all those subclasses. They are way better balanced and written than the old respective subclasses of 5.14 and also better balanced than the last batch of UA subclasses (genie paladin cough cough)

You can do it on monsters below CR1. And in that way increase their CR to the next step. Monsters with around 15 to 25 hp work well. Above that and they can get very hard to kill.

If people would play darkvision in 5e correctly, humans would not need it. Darkvision makes darkness to dim light. In which most creatures can sneak up to you.
