This is something I think most people lose sight of. When 3E came out, all of the discussion boards devoted to AD&D were afire with complaints both for and against each edition. The flames could be seen for miles. Very few people were swayed one way or the other by the initial rounds of...
Hey everyone, I know this is short notice, but I though some of you here might be interested in this.
The folks over at the Alternity.net forums are putting together their annual gameday to spread interest in Alternity. Tomorrow night (or today depending on your time zone...) will be a hosted...
I tried the orange eggs today. Better than the caramel...but still not gonna knock the creme eggs off their pedestal.
Now, I did pick up some 'wildly cherry' M&M's today. Talk about interesting...
Well, while it is true I need a better paying job, the truth of the matter is simple. When you are married, it isn't 'your' money. Somewhere along the line the y falls off and it becomes 'our' money.
Which wouldn't be bad, but she thinks this hobby is kind of silly...
Nonetheless, it...
That's just too much. I was interested in seeing what they put up there, but I can't agree to that kind of commitment. Either its too much per month, or I can't shell out for a year ahead of time.
Price-wise, it probably isnt that bad (it sounds okay), but I can't do that.
We (my wife and I) just tried to watch Night Watch. We didn't make it more than halfway through. It looked like it was a solid concept, but we just couldn't understand most of the dialogue. It seemed like they spent most of the time either whispering or with way too much echo for us to...
Actually, some of us don't know the term (if it was in the 1E books, its been 15 (?) years since I read it). I've just assumed a definition based on context.
And only knowing it that way, it would be very annoying to see it used.
I took pics, but our camera developed a glitch* and they didnt come out. Sucks, I really wanted to use one for my desktop.
*Turns out there's a recall for the camera. They'll fix it free, but man oh man, all the images I lost...
QFT.
I read that statement and I was just amazed. Nearly everyone I've gamed with (not all, but quite a majority of them) played the rules as written, but griped about the magic system. A few of us tried to do something about it, but then you have the whole problem of porting house rules...
A spellcaster class, or some examples of how the magic system works. I'm going to be switching regardless, but I really do want to see what they've done.
I have a laundry list of things I might like to see next, but none of them rank so high as magic. Except maybe some real examples of magic...
Man...Galethorn, that pic of you and your snack...We could be brothers. I swear, thats what I look like most of the time, except I have more blonde in my beard. I even have a shirt exactly like that one. You look more like my brother than my brother.
The bagel, not so much.
That was...odd.
Well, this is a first, I've rarely scrolled down here to the off-topic forum. And I've never found a reason to post here.
But I gotta post my luck concerning those oh so good gooey eggs.
Southern Illinois, boys. We don't have them all year round, but we get them most of the...
Actually, I can see letting them attempt it. Of course, it would involve a side quest of rather epic scope (none of this building it right off, you go get the bleedin thing).
And if they somehow manage to pull it off, well thats what we have Chaositech for. ;)
Here's to us roleplayers! If it weren't for us, There'd be no point in playing more than a few sessions. We'd all be like a first-person shooter. Once you've run through it once, shot all the bad guys, and seen the final cutscene, you move on to the next one.
