    Birthright Campaign Manager tool

Damm, sorry for the late answer, I was subscribed to the thread but somehow I never got a notification about your post. The tool needs a user and password because it can be used by a Game Master and by the Players, and they must see different information. Initially the tool comes with a default...

Looking for a great sci-fi RPG

I would go with Alternity. The system is skill based and they matter a lot, the rules are pretty simple, and I like a lot how the Ordinary/Good/Amazing mechanic works to resolve actions and their outcomes. And Star*Drive is a very nice setting. It's also pretty easy and cheap to get the core books.

Minor markup problem in forums list

Hi, it seems there is a minor markup problem in the forums list. http://www.enworld.org/forum/ If you go to the section of Living Worlds, instead of "Living 4th Edition" it says: here to visit this social group">Living 4th Edition I see it happening in IE9 and Chrome. Regards! Vicente

RPG apps for Windows 7 Phone

One thing of note is that while there is a 99$ subscription, you could work first without paying it. The WP7 SDK and Tools are free, and they come with an emulator you can use to start working and testing if you like the environment. You need to test on a real device sooner or later, but you...

    Robert J. Schwalb (again)

Most companies post about the Ennies when they are nominated or receive one, which makes one believe they have some importance. Searching for those posts or press releases would be a good idea probably. On a quick search I found this quote from Paizo blog in 2007: "Last week, the ENnie Award...

    Which game would you recommend?

You could give Legends of Anglerre a try, it's based in the FATE system. Very few rules, a lot of customization for characters and a lot of power for the GM and the players at the same time to craft a great story.

Starting with Legends of Anglerre (FATE)

Hi! I'm a DM with a lot of experience running AD&D 2e, DnD 3e, DnD 4e, and Alternity. But lately I have decided to give Legends of Anglerre a try (reading the book was very inspiring). So, I'm searching for help in a few things :) - A free adventure to read. If possible for LoA, but well, if...

    Birthright??

Solmyr original Birthright 3e version has also been uploaded recently to Birthright.net. There are also conversions and alternative rules from many other people in the wiki, downloads and in some forum threads, which are always very interesting to read.

What's your favorite RPG that you've never actually played?

    Very interesting fantasy terrain

The people from WWG answer quite a few questions about the product in that thread and they say new packs will be done if the see demand for this. They already have a very good PDF for wilderness (although pretty hard to build), so I suppose a wilderness box would make it sooner or later if...

    Very interesting fantasy terrain

I have followed WorldWorksGames for several years, and I have bought most of their fantasy PDFs for making gaming terrain for DnD 3e and 4e. I think their products are superb, although I have been always annoyed for all the time I had to put building the stuff, so when I saw their new product I...

    Looking for eTools alternative?

Appart from the LSTFileHelp yahoo group, which is really good and people will answer happily your questions there, you have the documentation of the program itself. Go to the List Files -> LST File Class, and you have 4 tutorials for doing a new race.

    Looking for eTools alternative?

I would go PCGen, the software is great and it's not so hard to create a new race or a new class, they have quite a few tutorials for that and a nice group to help with questions about those things.

    Burning nostalgic for Alternity

I had just the opposite problem with the system, which makes me think I didn't understand well how experience points worked: players never seemed to get enough points to train more than a 1-2 "high" level skills (3-4, 5 at most). Usually leveling two skills to those levels meant you would run...
