    Non-Spellcasters

Random idea inspired by a Vow of Poverty epic bonus in an arena game I was in. They were also trying to find someway to get flexibility into nonspellcasters. What if you could get domain-like spellcasting (i.e. one spell of each level 1-9 or so) as if you were a caster of Caster Level = (ECL -...

Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

Lothir lashes out with a bite on Ringo as the demon tries to trip him - and scores a rending hit along the beast's arm (critical! 24-10 = 14hps, now 117hp). Ringo fails his trip, but George succeeds! Lothir is prone and now has a Std action remaining. OOC: My GM narration temptation is to...

ToC CR 7 Finals - CN vs. CE: Juvenile Fang Dragon vs. Dust Wight

Another defensive magic missile strike. And compress with this for a rule: If down to less than 10 hp, use the remainder of the lay-on-hands. If reduced to less than 10 hp again, break for instructions.

Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

Lothir - any preference on the AoOs from the Trip? Otherwise, I'll assume the counter-attack is on Ringo (he always was the weakest one). On deck for good is a glittering long snake-like thing with a human head... a guardian naga.

NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

Would you believe I had to explain to my wife what Get Smart was just the other night... Umm... could a GM who is motivated to simplify the arena perhaps rule that the force of the push knocks the pieces of rubble flying into the water? ;) On the other hand, I keep thinking there can't be too...

Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

Yes and Yes. :) I should have been more explicit on the SR, since I usually list it. Evil's been getting a string of 19's and 15's on SR checks lately...

Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

Top of 86: Ringo - hits with a bite for (16-7 = 9 pts) Paul - misses with all three attacks George - exults in the fact that he has a target whose SR he can beat, dealing another (26/2 = 13 pts) Brian - calls down a bolt of lightning. Lothir looks up right as the bolt comes down, taking it...

NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

General question, so I'll post in the clear: If Oromeax uses the Str-check option in wallbreaking, does he destroy an area of wall equal to his cross-section? If so, he'll five-foot step to 85n50e and try using brute strength to destroy the entire western wall.

NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

Oromeax opens his eyes and smiles another confident toothy smile at the death of the daemon, and looks for a new opponent. (If he still can't sense her after looking around visually, let me know and I'll decide if he wants to return to wall pounding, ready an attack, or try something different)

Thanks for loaning me the crit rolls, Infiniti!

NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

Yeah, Oromeax wouldn't mind some crits... if he doesn't want them, can I have them? :) Oromeax will return with another Full Attack, upping the Power Attack to +15.

NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

Oromeax smiles a big, toothy draconic grin, and closes his heavy lidded eyes. And then strikes out with his full array of attacks! (Full Attack, PA+10)

Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

Top of 85: George's unholy blight just barely makes it through Lothir's SR, though Lothir's Will is enough to keep him from the worst effects, and blasts (for 15 pts of damage) Lothir's body (down to 187 hp). Brian's dispelling eliminates the glowing blue around Lothir's claw. Lothir ... and...

ToC CR 7 Finals - CN vs. CE: Juvenile Fang Dragon vs. Dust Wight

Equuos lets off another round of defensively SLA'd magic missiles.

NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

GM Question: If Oromeax closes his eyes and attacks on blindsense (plus the Blind-Fight feat) would his attacks ignore the mirror images (assuming they are visual illusions only).

NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

Oromeax... Waits, readying lightning breath for when the daemon shows up.

Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

Ah, yes. Brian narrows his eyes at Lothir, penetrates the SR, and Lothir feels a presence in his mind ... which he then completely rejects with a great exercise of Will. Back to our action.

ToC CR 7 Finals - CN vs. CE: Juvenile Fang Dragon vs. Dust Wight

Equuos whinnies (free action) and defensively fires off a magic missile cluster into Icy Cool.

NG vs. NE: Neutral Evil is Victorious!

Oromeax, just to try to simplify a confusing situation, smacks out at the colossal centipede with PA+15 (Full Attack).

Good 8, Evil 9 - Evil wins the Exhibition!

(OOC: Sorry for delay) All three demons ignore the silver's breath weapon gas (lowest SV 30) in a stunning display of actually making good rolls. However, Brian is shaken by the experience. There were two walls of fire, but looking back on my notes I see they should have just expired, so...
