The core rules is (intentionally) Howard-only. Some pastiche does creep into the later supplements, but even those have a decidely Howard slant. Well worth a look.

I agree. For d20, Conan is it. If you want to go non-d20, take a look at Sorcerer or The Riddle of Steel.

I play it and absolutely love it. I'd like to know what you consider "pointless tweaks" though, since I think the game has been customized to Howard's Hyboria beautifully. Straight 3rd edition D&D would never work for a CONAN game - TSR made that mistake already and Mongoose learned from it.

A Conan game I was playing in. The party was in Arenjun having tracked and cornered the Thief that captured us and sold us into slavery. The subsequent running roof-top battle was definitely the highlight of the campaign so far.

I agree - the "fluff" can probably be coverted with no effort, but converting the core Conan system and its mechanics may prove challenging to say the least. Regarding Matt's length tease: <drool>. My copy has been pre-ordered on Amazon since mid-November. Mid-January can't come soon enough!

Anyone have an idea as to when we can expect to see C&C in the stores? Is it still on track for a January release? My group and I are starting to get antsy and the TLG site isn't exactly a font of information.
