Tomb of Horrors - your experiences?

So do I. Actually, I kind of like the Hackmaster version's cover best of all:

Dwarf Fighter vs. Warforged Fighter: Which for you?

Elf. It's all about finesse, baby. That, and warforged annoy me.

What shows do you love to HATE!!!!

    1. Network "reality" TV. I still enjoy Discovery channel's reality shows though. 2. Star Trek: Enterprise. I'll return to Trek when B&B leave. 3. Punk'd and Jackass.

Tomb of Horrors - your experiences?

I DM'ed this one, and I'm sure my experience is similiar to everyone elses - death, and lots of it. I've had one group actually make it to Acererak's tomb (most were fooled by the MacGuffin) only to be killed very quickly by the demilich.

Descent into the Depths of the Earth - your experiences?

I agree. I've got no problem with a lich hanging out in a 30 ft. cavern. The adventure gives a (IMO) good reason why he's down there and it's up the DM to flesh it out. Remember, Acererak called a 10 ft. square room in a swamp home....

    The current BBEG

I've had a few in my FR campaign. The last three were: a mature adult green dragon, Lolth, and the albino drow chick from City of the Spider Queen. In my current Lord of the Rings game I've got three BBEG's: Sauron (of course), Saruman of Many Colors, and Carangul the Red Sorcerer (he's an...

Vault of the Drow - your experiences?

And it made Lolth my favorite goddess. ;) I still prefer the original D3 cover though (mainly 'cause that's the version I own).

Descent into the Depths of the Earth - your experiences?

My favorite adventures along with D3, and the G series. I enjoyed the Shrine of the Kuo-Toa marginally better than the Warrens of the Troglodytes. Mainly because of all the times I've ran these two adventures, no one has "discovered" Asberdies. Talk about ruining the Dm's fun... ;)

Vault of the Drow - your experiences?

Me too. I also DM'ed this one, but the adventure still stands out. I played up the "creepiness factor" in the Fane of Lolth as well as the complete feeling of isolation and the unknown (remember, the "underdark" and the drow were a new back then) and had my players jumping at shadows. By...

    WotC support for Eberron?

I disagree. Eberron and the Realms are different enough that both can be supported without stepping on each other toes, unlike Greyhawk and the Realms. I like Eberron and love the Realms. There's room enough for both on my gaming shelf.

    No LONGER dead to me.

I like the fact that they'll be more room for adventures in Dungeon, but on the otherhand, I'm going to miss the Star Wars and d20 Modern support found in Polyhedron. Once again support for the Star Wars RPG is without a home and this time it's taking d20 Modern with it. :(

Dungeon #113. Anyone seen it yet?

You'll have to wait another month for the "new and improved" Dungeon. #114 is the first "new" issue.

What other games besides D&D do you play?

I just wrapped a Lord of the Rings Chronicle using Decipher's CODA system. My group has played: Shadowrun, Conan, d20 Modern, Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Vampire: The Masquerade, Star Wars d20, Hackmaster, Gamma World, Wheel of Time, MERP, Spycraft and Alternity.

Which edition of D&D did you start with?

    The "first" basic set.

Now that you have Eberron - will you run it?

SACRILEGE!! ;) Eberron has teh kewl, but (and this is why I like it) it's so different fom the FR that I can run two concurrent campaigns if I wish and my players won;t get bored. FR is still tops in my book, but Eberron is definitely a nice place to visit.

Now that you have Eberron - will you run it?

Bought it, read it, pleasantly suprised. My next campaign might or might not be Eberron, but I'll still get a few games worth out of it at the very least.
