Gamma World never sold as well as D&D, but the earlier editions (1st and 2nd) did pretty well. For me, the weakest book in S&SS's GW line is the Player's Handbook - the other releases (Mutants and Machines and Out of the Vaults) are quite good actually.

For my group, it was Heart of Nightfang Spire. My players had a blast with the adventure, but the tower racked up 4 kills in the process. The next deadliest for us was Forge of Fury (2 kills).
