    capping D&D at 5th level?

I agree, there is always a better way of doing it. But I like RAW. But how do you feel about a 20 lb dog having three times the hit points of you, when you were at first level? Me, I like the fact that housecats, and ravens can kill commoners and twenty pound dogs are death to commoners...

Hell yeah. High Jumpers and jumping athletes.

Very nice, and quite elegant. I would do fabricate for finer detail though, but you need the skill... ah well...

    capping D&D at 5th level?

Commoners, have two hit points. DnD does not do reality well. It does not even attempt to do reality well. That is my point. Because of this, I find it fun. You are absolutely right. DnD was not made to model house cats at all. How about the raven (MM page 278) scale? Or the Rat (MM...

    Weird group makeup. Advice sought!

Ask them. 1) Okay, so why are you adventuring together? 2) What are your goals? 3) What do you need? 4) What is your favorite color? 5) How do you know each other?

    capping D&D at 5th level?

I'm above first level, no house cat can kill me! (Hurt me yes, kill never!) In fact everybody is at least fifth level. Proof: Not one human has been killed by going mana a mano with a house cat. That's based upon the house cat scale. No, 4th level are teenagers according to the house cat...

Absolutely. Of course when you need to mint a lot of currency or produce a lot of masterwork gear, fabricate just dominates everything.

Wizards who refuse to use blast spells

No, no, no, the BBEG webs, runs for his life, and tells all the other evil guys on what the PC's do, and since he survived the encounter he levels up... Then he turns invisible and fireballs the party, webs and runs away or use the other tactics that has been suggested in this thread.

    [CyberPunk] CyberPsychosis

First of all I never typed "overwhelming sense of ego" and self esteem. Yes, your self exteem goes up, but not the amount of cyberpsychosis. Cyberpsychosis appears to have more in common with fantasy than in with real devices. People who have real life cybernetics, just become happier and...

So cyberpsychosis is happiness, being well adjusted, and comfortable with yourself? What?

    Magic Construction Projects

I'd just use lots of walls of stone as auxiliary construction or just to add reinforcements to sieges. Rock to Mud and Mud to Rock and some moulds or wooden forms would be an idea. Control weather is a possibility.

    Druid spells are called...?

All pretty good suggestions. I would probably use aspects. As in aspects of nature.

    [CyberPunk] CyberPsychosis

Oddly enough I see it in an opposite way. Cybernetics have boosted self esteem in real life. Plastic surgery when done right boosts one's self esteem and body image. Our current day cybernetics are bringing happiness to lots of paraplegics, and sight to the blind. In real life cybernetics...

    DM Encounter Advice

Yup. A pretty interesting situation. For me, I just make it really obvious. "A CR 22 ancient red dragon flies overhead. It looks you over, but ignores you." Why let them guess which creatures can kill them or not? If I let them guess, ten percent of the time they will choose a TPK, so I...

How many Monsters from MMI have you used?

    A. Retentive. Aye. I don't have my notes on hand or I could give you a breakdown on encounters. Don't want to over use that monster you know.
