D&D 5E (2024) How excited are you for the 2 upcoming Forgotten Realms books?

I mean, I think it gives a pretty solid idea of what to expect: avoiding 2E-3E-4E style Realms Shaking Events, while leaving room for tables to use whichever past ones they care to keep.

Not updated too frequently, but: "All of which brings me to the Forgotten Realms." "I’m the project lead for the new Forgotten Realms books recently announced on the Wizards YouTube channel. You can see the video here, I’m only in it for about 30 seconds, the upshot is: two new Forgotten...

D&D General The Purple Dragon Knights are tied to an Amethyst Dragon (confirmed)

The Aubclass doesn't have a dragon, the dragon part is tied to the factions lore. Not character builder related. The Subclass is just a Warlord-ish Fighter called the Banneret now and bot explicitly tied to the PDK, essentially just an update on the SCAG version.

James Wyatt was co-leading the DMG, that's why all the preview videos were Wyatt and Perkins together. But this book is definitely Tondro. Wyatt may be working on Lorwyn.

D&D 5E (2024) How excited are you for the 2 upcoming Forgotten Realms books?

Yup, there is a fully detailed Level 1-3 Adventure meant to be customizable for any if the focused on mini-Settings (which realistically means can probably ve used anywhere), and 51 one-page low-prep requirement Adventures with maps, in the style of the new DMG sample Adventures. Also, 39...

D&D 5E (2024) Atlas of Faerun (with some pictures from the internet)

The Greenwoodian Forgotten realms is a Points of Light Setting, with vast tracts of howling wilderness inhabited by Monsters. 3E made everything just be right on top of each other.
